WBC to honor Vinny Paz!
Ceremony this Wednesday at Rhode Island Convention Center!
Vinny Paz will be getting one of the few things he never received during his illustrious career, which is a famed green world championship belt from the WBC. Jimmy Burchfield, the long-time promoter of Paz, will host the WBC award presentation to living legend during the Classic Entertainment Sports boxing event on Wednesday, November 23rd event at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Downtown Providence. The WBC will bestow the title of honorary world champion to Paz, who garnered the IBF world lightweight and WBA world super welterweight belts during his career. In addition, Paz captured three different belts at super middleweight, winning the IBO, IBC and WBU belts. Rhode Island's own "Contender" Peter Manfredo, Jr. and the star of the movie "Sweet Dreams," Gary "Tiger" Balletto will also be honored with special presentations.

Ist ja nachgerade normal bei Profiboxern, und im Falle Vinnies kann man sagen: Es ist ja auch kein Genickbruch. Das Wichtigste ist, dass der Mann erstaunlich gesund ist.

Im Übrigen habe ich (in diesem Forum!) gelesen, dass in den USA das Konkursrecht modernisiert wird, weil es bisher zu einfach war, keine Steuern zu bezahlen und rechtzeitig "pleite" zu gehen.

Ich hoffe für Winnie, dass nicht das IRS ihn über den Tisch gezogen hat, sondern umgekehrt.

EDIT: Sorry, ich war wohl zu lange dort. IRS = Internal Revenue Service, das US-amerikanische Steueramt.
