Die stade Zeit - Weihnachtsmucke

Da es ja schon wieder schrecklich weihnachtet und man allerorten mit lauter wunderschöner weihnachtsmusik umsorgt wird, wollte ich mal fragen, ob es welche Lieder gibt, die euch da besonders gefallen. Ich meine, beim Glühweintrinken, beim Einkaufen im Supermarkt, in Einkaufszentren, im Radio.... überall werden die Weihnachtsschinken ausgepackt und der befürchtete jährliche Einstieg von wham in die top dreißig der Single Charts steht wohl auch wieder unmittelbar bevor. panik:
Ich habe zum Beispiel mal wieder die CD "wir warten aufs Christkind" von den "roten Rosen" rausgekramt und die ist immer noch für den einen oder anderen Lacher gut. Weiterhin finde ich Sachen wie "Wish it could be chrsitmas everyday" von Roy Wood oder "Merry Christmas" von Slade ganz hörbar. Alles etwas trashig aber zu ernst sollte man solche Musik ohnehin nicht nehmen, denke ich mal.

Ach ja: Das Viedo von "last christmas" von Wham sollte Indiziert werden. Solche Frisuren und Schneeanzüge sind in meinen Augen strafbar... :clown:

Der beste Weihnachtssong, den ich kenne, ist von den Kinks - ich glaube von 1977 - und heisst "Father Christmas".
Ein zynischer Song über Strassenkids, die den Wehnachtsmann überfallen.

Fängt so an:

And I would hang up my stocking at christmas
Open my presents and I’d be glad

und geht entsprechend weiter. Gibt es leider nur auf teuren Japan-Import-CD's oder auf anspruchsvollen Weihnachts-Compilations.

Ganz nett fand ich früher "The power of love" von Frankie goes to Hollywood. Das war auch vom Video auf den Punkt gebracht.

Auf dem "Grinch"-Soundtrack gibt es ein paar ganz nette Weihnachtssongs, "Green christmas" von den Barenaked ladies zum Beispiel. Ganz wichtig natürlich: das wundervolle "Fairytale of New York" von den Pogues.

Oh das hört sich gut an. Werde mal den ein oder anderen Song anhören.
"Fairytale of New York" kenn ich, wobei ich bis jetzt nicht gerafft hatte, dass das was mit weihnachten zu tun hat

ja, stimmt, stop the cavalry ist nett anzuhören. Das gefällt mir auch ganz gut.

Das Lied finde ich etwas zu schnulzig, mit Kindern und allem was dazugehört. Ist aber wohl Geschmackssache.
