James Johnson decided to join the Denver Nuggets who offered him the most guaranteed money and the opportunity to work near his hometown Cheyenne, Wyoming. Johnson had some quite good appearances with the grizzlies during the absence of Tony Allen, but didn't get much playing time from Joerger after Tony Allen returned.

Danny Granger joined the Cleveland Cavaliers who could provide him the most playing time in the next season which he wants to use to recommend himself for some upcoming opportunities.

Mike Miller chose his hometeam, the Memphis Grizzlies, over some other contenders again. Last Year he felt good enough about the grizzlies chances in title contention to re-join them after playing for the Grizzlies from the 2002-03 to 2007-08 seasons. After the spectacular second half of the 2013/14 season (36 - 15 in 2014), the almost-elemination of the Thunder in the 1st Round and the return of Zach Randolph, Mike Miller's feelings about the Grizzlies hasn't changed. He still likes the grizzlies odds and prefered them again over some other contenders. Money was no issue in his deciding process as the Miami Heat still owe him 6.6 million $ due to the Amnesty Provision in 2014/15.

Kirk Hinrich is still weighing his options as the negotiations with his suitors continue.

Bayless nach Utah

Die Jazz haben sich mit Jerryd Bayless auf einen Zweijahresvertrag zu Room MLE-Konditionen geeinigt. Der 25 jährige Combo-Guard spielte letzte Saison für die Memphis Grizzlies und Boston Celtics. Bei den Celtics brachte er es auf 10,3 Punkte, 3,1 Assists und eine gute Dreierquote von 39,5%.

"Wir sind glücklich uns mit Jerryd geeinigt zu haben. Er kann seinen eigenen Wurf kreieren, ist ein guter Shooter und Slasher. Er eröffnet uns neue Optionen im Backcourt." wird GM PistolPete nach der Verpflichtung zitiert.

Laut mehreren Insidern soll die Kaderzusammenstellung komplett sein. Die Free Agency ist abgegrast, Moves sind nicht geplant.

Kevin Garnett reunites with Doc Rivers

Los Angeles, California - On sunday afternoon Kevin Garnett announced that he will join the Los Angeles Clippers for what will probably be the last season of his career. Many teams had pursued the services of the 38 years old 15 time All-Star, but in the end he couldn't refuse to play at the doorstep of his home in Malibu and for his ex-coach Doc Rivers: "I’ll always have a special place for Doc. I thought he helped me not only grow as a player, but as a young man," Garnett said. "Telling us a lot about basketball and the philosophies of it and about being a young man -- a young black man -- understanding our responsibilities because we are men and we were starting our families at the same time. And just overall he's a great role model. No one’s perfect -- all humans have their flaws -- but he’s damn near close to it. I’m just grateful that he just came into my life and that I’m able to share that experience with him one more time.”
Garnett fills a big need for the Clippers who lacked of competent big men behind Griffin and Jordan in the last years. He will attempt to help the Clippers to overcome their recent 2nd Round out and advance further in next seasons playoffs. Garnett and Doc have won a championship together once and they will try to repeat that together with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.

Pappelos holt sich Jordan Hamilton von den Raketen!

Pappelauskas spätes Statement gestern Nacht: Der Junge hat einen exelenten Wurf und kann auch zum Korb ziehen, ausserdem ist er ein extrem guter Rebounder. Das einzige was ihm fehlt ist Selbstvertrauen Bei den Kings wird er ausreichend Spielzeit bekommen. Macht er sich gut, ist er als backup für Rudy gesetzt! Geplant sind auch Minuten von der 2. Er hat jetzt Outlaw und D.Williams als gleichberechtigte Konkurenten auf der 3. Wir erwarten von ihm hochprozentig von draussen zu treffen! Das ist, was uns im letzten Jahr gefehlt hat. Macht er das, braucht Jordan sich keine Sorgen um seine Zukunft zu machen.

Outlaw und D.Williams müssen sich in diesem Jahr beweisen. Gerade von D.Williams erwarten wir uns einen riesen Schritt nach vorne. Schafft er den nicht, ist er spätestens in der nächsten FA Phase weg. Outlaws Vertrag läuft nächstes Jahr aus. Wir sind daran interessiert ihn zu verlängern, denn Travis ist der Spaßvogel in unserm Team und findet sich zur Not auch mit Garbage Minuten ab.

Er kann die 4 und 5 spielen und wirft manchmal sogar von hinter der 3er Linie. Sein Post Game is sehr schön anzusehen und mit seinen flinken Händen greift und blockt er auch recht nett. Faferani soll hauptsächlich von der 5 kommen, hinter Chris Kaman.

Mit ihm gehen wir kein Risiko ein und sparen sogar noch Gehalt. Die Entwicklung von Jason Thompson stagnierte in der letzen Zeit und wir glauben, dass auch für ihn der Wechsel sinnvoll war.

Geplant ist jetzt noch ein Spot up Shooter für die 2 . Ich habe da wohl auch schon einen Underdog im Auge. Das tanken ist vorbei! Die Kings haben jetzt ein ernst zunehmendes Team auf dem Platz und sind nun durchaus in der Lage anderen Teams weh zu tun. Bei Cousins dürfen wir uns auf ein noch dominanteres auftreten einstellen. Rudy Gay macht die komplette Vorbereitung mit und wird noch besser ins Team integriert sein. Isaiah Thomas wird, ob als Starter oder 6ter Mann, dem Team in jedem Fall zur Seite stehen. Marcus Smart braucht seine Zeit! Er wird in diesem Jahr schon ordentlich Minuten sehen und sich langsam an die NBA gewöhnen. Mcallum steht in direkter Konkurenz zu den beiden anderen Guards und kann, wenn er so weiter macht, zu einem echten Problem für die anderen werden. Er bekommtl die selben Chancen wie die andern beiden. Der schwächere ordnet sich dann ein und wird dann zum Rollenspieler. Carl Landry wird hoffentlich verletzungsfrei bleiben und die Saison durchspielen können. Zu was der Mann in der Lage ist, wissen wir glaub alle. Er ist nicht umsonst einer der besten back ups der Liga.Kaman hat Erfahrung und das nötige Skill Set unterm Brett. Chris Kaman ist bei den Kings auf der Center Position gesetzt! Das wird ihm wieder den Spaß am Spiel zurückgeben, den er bei den Lakers im letzten Jahr verloren hat. Acy muss in jedem Fall defensiv zulegen! Das ist seine einzige Chance im Team zu bleiben. Ich gebe ihm jetzt nochmal ein Jahr und warte seine Entwicklung ab. Acy ist ein wenig undersized und somit anderen PFs leicht unterlegen, was das rebounden und die post defense betrifft. Er muss unbedingt agressiver werden!! Reggie Evans wird nächstes Jahr hoffentlich verlängern. Der Mann passt zu den Kings, wie die Faust aufs Auge. Ben Mclmoor wird in diesem Jahr auch nochmal viel Spielzeit bekommen. In der Umkleide nennen sie ihn ja schon scherzhaft Basti:laugh2:Er kann jetzt beweisen das er das nicht ist. Er muss besser treffen und in der Defense zulegen. Schooter gibts viele und Pappelos wird nicht zögern alles nötige in die Wege zu leiten

Washington Wizards still looking to improve

After a rather conservative approach to the offseason, where they re-signed Trevor Ariza and Marcin Gortat to long term deals and made Pablo Prigioni, Jeff Taylor and DeJuan Blair their only acquisitions so far, trying to keep the status quo, the Washington Wizards are now changing their course. New GM Short-E was quoted saying: "We are confidend in our Group, but there is always room for improvement. We will listen to every offer. If a good offer comes in, I will always give it a thought."
It is not easy making sense out of this statement, as it always seemed like Short-E's main goal was to keep the group, that made it to the second round of the playoffs this year, intact. But after all the NBA is a business, in which almost no player is save, it still is questionable if this statement by Short-E is the right sign to show his players, that he is confident in them.
