Despite being born in England, and brought up in London's Canning Town, Bullard has a German grandmother and his agent has asked the 26-year-old to produce his gran's birth certificate just in case German coach Jurgen Klinsmann comes calling.
"We'll see what comes of it. Probably nothing but my agent wanted the birth certificate anyway," said Bullard, who admits he's never actually been to Germany. "The closest I've got is Denmark. But I'm up for it. Maybe Michael Ballack needs someone to do his running."
