IBU Lowers Championship Fees!
(Atlanta, Georgia) (October 30, 2006)- Don "Moose" Lewis, Chairman and
President of the International Boxing Union, Inc. (known as the IBU)
based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA announces that the reduction in fees
for
all IBU championships effective 01 November 2006. Mr.
Lewis states, "After noticing how limited the budgets of promoters
are in this economy, I feel that the IBU needs to do its part to help
them any way we can. By slashing fees by as much as forty per cent
(40%), the IBU now shows its willingness to work with Promoters any
way possible. I personally hope that this will show the boxing media
that sanctioning bodies are not in boxing just for the money."
"The International Boxing Union, Inc. sanctions and supervises
professional boxing title fights around the globe in classifications
such as World, InterContinental, Regional, and National. New fees are
as
follows:
World US$3000.00
InterContinental US$2000.00
Regional US$1500.00
National US$1250.00 "
