That's the word out of boxing hotbed Panama. According to the camp of Ricardo "Maestrito" Cordoba (27-1, 18 KOs), the fight against unbeaten WBA champion Wladimir Sidorenko (18-0) was finalized early this week. The bout would take place on Universum Box-Promotion's big world title twinbill March 11 fight card in Hamburg, Germany. Headlining is the WBA middleweight title bout between champion Maselino Masoe and Felix Sturm. Cordoba will apparently still fight in a tune-up bout on February 4 in Panama.

Was sagen die Fans der unteren Gewichtsklassen dazu? Ich hab mal bei boxrec reingeschaut... Der Cordoba scheint ja kein schlechter zu sein, oder?

Habe den Cordoba noch nie gesehen. Gegen den einzig mir bekannten Mann in seinem Rekord, Kratingdaenggym, hat er einen SD loss, dessen Punkturteil damals sehr verdächtig war. Erinnere mich noch daran, wie sich alle über das Ergebnis des Herrn Rivera wunderten.

Erstaunlich. Kraetingdaenggym ist doch schon WBA-Interimschamp und da tritt Sidorenko noch freiwillig gegen Cordoba an. Klingt so gar nicht nach UBP, aber wenn es stimmt. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
