Nein, Vöik ist nicht richtig :D: Es gibt ein ganz grosse unterschied zwischen "ö" und "ui", aber ich kann es nicht richtig erklären :P Persönlich finde ich die Finnische und Norwegische Namen immer schwierig ;(

Ich hab noch nimmer ein Ausländer gehört die die Kombination "ui" richting aussprechen kann :hihi:

Maybe he simply didn't like all the training usw. anymore, and now he just wants to give it a try again. Sounds pretty plausible to me :) And I think it can only be good for Finnish ski jumping, sure there are young people with a lot of talent, but someone as experienced as Ahonen in the team...

Thanks for your answers, maybe it is indeed about their criteria being very strict (like for the Olympics where top-8 in a World Cup competion is required). I sent them a mail for clarification, I will post their response here for those who are interested :)

In another thread someone posted that Lars Antonissen had qualified for the WM in Italy, because of his 29th place in Zakopane last weekend. I sent an e-mail to the Dutch Ski Association about it, and this is their answer: So if I am right (well actually if they are), he didn't qualify for...
