Chanet outscores Tsypko!
By Christian Chataignier at ringside
WBA #3 supermiddle Jackson Chanet of France clinched the European 168 lbs crown minutes ago in St. Dizier, France, outscoring defending champion Vitali Tsypko of Ukraine after twelve exciting rounds. No fighter was down or hurt but it was an action packed clash with Chanet eventually winning the fight through a 115-113; 116-112; 116-112 score. With the win Chanet (now 26-0; 15 KOs) also becomes the WBA mandatory challenger. It was the first defeat for Tsypko (17-1; 9 KOs) who fought a no-contest with Jeff Lacy for the IBF belt in June 2004.
Wieder ein kleiner Wettgewinn.
