Elton Brand
Dr. Craig Morgan, who has consulted with Sixers team physician Dr. Jack McPhilemy, said there’s a 50-50 chance Elton Brand will suffer another separated shoulder when he returns in a month. If it happens again this season, Morgan says that Brand would have season-ending surgery and be out for six months. "After three weeks, when the pain is gone, he just needs to come back and play basketball and find out if it will hold up," Morgan said. "Nobody can give any more accurate information than that."
Drew Gooden
Drew Gooden left Friday's game in the first quarter with a sprained right ankle and will not return. Tough break for Gooden's owners, as he finished with just two points and no rebounds. Consider him day-to-day until further notice.
Indiana Pacers
Danny Granger, Troy Murphy and Marquis Daniels have all been hospitalized with a flu virus and are not expected to play on Saturday at Philadelphia. T.J. Ford (groin) will will be limited to 12 minutes of action, but should play, although Jarrett Jack is starting in his place. Other starters for Indy include Brandon Rush, Roy Hibbert, Jeff Foster and Stephen Graham. None of the three flu-stricken players will fly to Philly tonight, so get them out of your lineup if possible.
Jermaine O'Neal
Jermaine O'Neal, who left Friday's game in the second quarter with a shoulder injury, says it is not serious and he plans on playing in Saturday's game against the Spurs. If he's in good enough shape to play today it's interesting that he didn't return in the loss to the Thunder. Consider him a game-time decision for now.
Stephen Jackson
Stephen Jackson missed Friday's game at Atlanta in order to rest his sore left hand. Hopefully it will just be a one-game absence, but consider him day-to-day for now. In true Nellie fashion, Rob Kurz, who hasn't played in two straight games, started in his place.
