The Record of Bergen County reported Tuesday that Kidd accused his wife of mistreating their three children and filed a domestic violence complaint Monday. Kidd's lawyer was quoted as saying "It has been painful for Jason Kidd to watch the effect of his wife's behavior on their children." Kidd was arrested in 2001 after his wife told police he hit her during an argument over their son. He plead guilty to spousal abuse, paid his $200 fine and moved on.
