Morales: 3rd fight not necessary!
By Emmanuel Rustrián Bello
Now former WBC feather king Erik Morales said today "It’s not necessary for another fight against Barrera because I won the first and showed my boxing last Saturday. I was better two times. In 2000, I won against Barrera, in the rematch everyone could see my fast punches. I disagree with the decision but I was happy with my performance. I did enough to win the fight. Now I’m a former champion but I feel like a champion because I had a great fight and I'm ready for the big fights." Morales said he's returning to the ring in September in a 10 round bout at 128 lbs., and will make his last fight at 126 against Paulie Ayala in November before moving up to super feather.

Sulaiman: No Barrera-Morales III!
By Emmanuel Rustrian Bello
Today at a press conference at the Camino Real Hotel in México City, WBC boss José Sulaimán said the WBC will not accept a possible third fight between Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales "because boxing needs credibility." Sulaimán stated, "Morales is free to make his decision, but if he takes a rematch it’s because he wants leave the WBC." As for Barrera, Sulaiman said, "Today at 12:17PM is the last time in my life I say his name." (More)
