Broke Corrie must fight for his supper
You could reply Mike Tyson, who lands in the country this week to be at ringside on Saturday night for a local boxing tournament. Equally, the answer might be Jacob Zuma.
But if you’re restricted to boxing , you could take your pick of fighters who have blown their earnings over the decades.
Tyson, admittedly, did it spectacularly — even after Don King had allegedly stolen millions from him, the firebrand pugilist still reportedly pocketed, and burned, an estimated 300-million.
Locally, the list of boxers with zero bank balances is staggeringly long.
One of them is Corrie Sanders, who faces SA heavyweight champion Osborne Machimana on Saturday.
Sanders retired four years ago, saying he had enough to live on for the rest of his life, but money problems have since forced him to return to the ring...

“Corrie will be in good shape — he should come in at 104/105kg.”
