Meine Meinung dazu im "Was hört ihr gerade?"
Ich glaube diese "Problem" haben viele die "Meilensteine" gedroppt haben...
Ich nehme zB den Wu-Tang-Clan... Seit "Enter the Wu Tang Clan" haben die meistens Fans halt eine bestimmte Erwartungshaltung ...
"8 Diagramms" zB finde ich gut... aber eben nicht auf einem Niveau vom Erstlingswerk...

nas hatte ärger wegen des titels "nigga" mit den plattenfirmen, was ja auch irgendwie verständlich ist. jetzt heißt die platte schlicht und einfach "nas". die paar tracks, die ich gehört habe, hauen mich auch nicht grad vom hocker.

Kennt jemand den Würzburger Geutz und kann etwas über dessen Rap-Karriere sagen? Soweit ich richtig informiert bin, ist er schon lange gar nicht mehr aktiv.
Ich kenne nur "Taugenichts" und "Publicity" von ihm. Würde aber gern mehr von ihm hören.

2. State Of Emergency feat Ice Cube

Crazy beat again, very west coast, another big tune, the only thing I could have asked more for was a verse from Ice Cube - he was only on the chorus ‘California ain‘t a state it‘s an army‘(they didn’t play the whole track so he might have a verse at the end hopefully). Game has stepped his lyrics up even more so far on this album.
3. Dope Boys

I’m not gonna lie when I first heard this track I wasn’t impressed, but I think I must have gone mad cos this track is a BANGER! Most people would have heard this track already it’s got a very rocky feel with Travis Barker on the drums.
4. House Of Pain

This was one of the standouts for me, guitar rocky beat again. Game has definitely stepped up lyrically on this album. Another bouncy track with a load of quotables. Dj Toomp done his job with the beat!
5. Heaven

Another standout this track is serious, Game does some singing on the chorus. This could be a single for me a more introspective track than what’s been heard so far.
6. My Life feat: Lil Wayne

This is the next single, another introspective track. Talks about The Game’s struggles in his life. Very serious. Lil Wayne’s singing on the hook ‘Dear lord you took so many of my people but why havn’t you taken my life’. Beats serious as well very dark piano beat
7. Bullet Proof Diaries feat Raekwon
Produced by Jell Roll
Very funky westcoast beat. Another standout. Raekwon does his thing on this. The chorus reminds me of the Ruff Ryders ’World War 3’ track - ‘Where you from, New York’…………BIG TUNE
8. Cali Sunshine

This track is ok, I think I might have to hear it again The Game`s talking about 50 getting robbed, Suge Knight getting punched up. For me Nottz is a serious producer but I wasn’t really feeling this track it might be a grower though.

Another highlight. At the start Biggie’s talking about his shock of hearing Eazy E death. Then it cut’s to the radio talking about the death of Biggie and Tupac. First verse The Game raps with Tupac’s flow and second verse he spits like Biggie, he SMASHES it! They faded out the track after the second chorus so I’m not sure if he does another verse.
10. Ye Heard feat Ludacris

This track is SERIOUS! The beat is stupid, probably the best beat on the album for me. Very Funky bouncy beat. The Game does his thing lyrically, he talks about being looked over and being too gangster to win a grammy but Ludacris SMASHES IT, one of the verses of the year for me, too many quotable ‘So many flags I thought I was in Russia…….’
11. Gentlemans’ Affair feat Neyo

To be honest I thought this was the weakest track for me, it’s got a mellowy summery vibe. It’ll probably do well on radio but I wasn’t really feeling it compared to the tracks I heard before.
12. Angel feat Common

When I saw the line-up for this I thought this track would be SERIOUS but at first it didn’t grab me, the beat didn’t sound like a Kanye West beat at all, it followed the west coast bouncy production of the rest of the tracks. Common and The Game done their thing lyrically and I think it was john Legend on the chorus. Everyone else in the room was feeling this track though to be fair, it’ll probably grow on me(still a big tune though I was just expecting a classic)
13. Camera Phone feat Neyo

This sounds like it could definitely be a single, I could imagine this being huge, double time beat.

This one is definitely for the streets, similar vibe to Rick Ross ‘Push It’, talks about money. This will be BIG another highlight! I could imagine rappers freestyling over this beat on mixtapes for years!
15. Breaking Rules feat Busta Rhymes
Produced by Scott Storch
Minimalist beat, everyone in the room was feeling this track. Got a similar vibe to ‘Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See’. Good track
16. Letter To The King feat Nas

One of my favourite tracks. The track is an ode to Martin Luther King and the civil rights movement. Very introspective, they both talk about when they were younger overlooking the struggle but now realising the power. The beat is crazy, Hi Tek does his job. Nas and The Game make great tracks together, they both have featured on each others current and previous albums and each track for me has been a standout!
Pain - they didn’t play Pain because everyone’s heard it all ready
Big Dreams - The people at Universal said this maybe a bonus track their not sure at the moment

zurück vom splash- war ganz in ordnung, wetter dieses jahr auch mal akzeptabel. nur leider kam es mir vor, als hätten die leute keine kraft mehr zum feiern. das gegröhle war schonmal deutlich lauter.

Also wenn Casper mit "Stampf ihn ein" das Festival-Gelände und ganz Bitterfeld dazu abreißt und man sich in dem Schlamm vor der Bühne keinen Millimeter bewegen kann, dann schiebe ich Frust. Und dann trinke ich. Und dann hänge ich lieber am Zelt, als vor der Bühne ab. ****** Teufelskreis, zu viel Bier/Gras, zu wenig Acts gesehen.
In Chemnitz, vor zwei Jahren, war Sand vor der Bühne. Der schlammt nicht, der spritzt nicht, da sinkst du nicht drin ein. Wäre vielleicht mal 'ne Idee, Leute.
Bevor ich pennen gehe, was gut war: Dynamite Deluxe, Blumentopfs Freestyle-Meisterwerk, Casper, Jay-Z (er lässt sich nicht übertrieben feiern wie Snoop Dogg und braucht auch keine fünf Back-Ups wie Fat Joe), Looptroop Rockers, Jan Delay, M.O.P.
Orsons haben in meinen Augen enttäuscht. Mini-Zelt, schlechte Akkustik, sicherlich lustiges Konzept, aber fast schon ausgelutscht. Auf Huss & Hodn hatte ich richtig Bock, aber auch hier war das Zelt zu klein. Kamen nicht mehr rein. Der Orgi-Stand war mal wieder unfassbar genial, 100% Atzenpower sag ich nur. Casper rennt wie ein Philosophiestudent im 23. Semester auf dem Gelände im Schlamm rum und zeigt null Starallüren. Das Bier ist zu teuer. Keine Glasflaschen auf dem Zeltplatz - was soll das? Pavillion und ein Zelt haben's nicht überlebt. Wenn dich deine Eltern nicht lieben, wirst du Event Guard. Was für Spastis.

Da schiebt jemand ziemlich Frust
Nö, war ein super Wochenende. So wie jedes Splash. Zu acht am Zelt abgehangen, jede Menge Dünnes gelabert, das Bier hat geschmeckt und richtig geregnet hat es ja auch nur Freitag und Sonntag. Ab Nachmittag war's immer trocken, allerdings sah der Boden eben aus wie 'ne ausgelaufene Kläranlage. Ist aber alles halb so schlimm, Musik war gut, Schuhe werden geschrubbt. Aber ich gebe KillerHornet recht, diese richtige Party-Fieber war dieses Jahr teilweise zu vermissen. Wenn ich da an letztes Jahr denke (Olli Banjo, Curse, Maeckes & Plan B solo, etc.), da merkt man schon den Unterschied mMn. Und wir hatten leider unser Zelt am Ende der Welt, waren bestimmt 15 Min. bis zum Eingang des Bühnengeländes (weil wir erst Freitagnachmittag anreisen konnten, nicht wie sonst immer donnerstags). Da konnte man nicht eben mal schnell vorsprinten, weil man den Beat von "XY" hört.
Ich stelle mittlerweile eben hohe Ansprüche und will das perfekte Festival erleben - sei es nun, ob es das Wetter, die Line-Up, die Stimmung oder das Drumherum betrifft.

Nein. Nein. Und Nein. Ich hab überlegt, ob ich wieder so ein Stylerfoto mit Casper machen lasse, wie ich es schon mit Taichi habe machen lassen.
Aber da war mir dann doch die Traube, die sich um ihn gesammelt hat, etwas zu groß.Fotos kann ich nachreichen, wenn ich sie vom Kumpel bekommen habe.

Was anderes ... Wieviel Punkte von /10 wuerdet ihr dem F.R.-Album geben? Ich bin kein Fan dieser Bewertungen, aber mich wuerde es einfach mal interessieren.

Kollegah wirkt natürlich wieder ziemlich peinlich, aber dieses weiß/blau gefällt mir sehr gut.
Kann es sein, dass Kollegah ein Mittel gegen das Altern gefunden hat?
Irgendwie ist er auf dem Cover noch "milchgesichtiger" als zuvor.

Vielleicht merkt Kollegah ja endlich mal, wie schmal der Grat zwischen "arrogant" und "langweilig" rappen ist. In das Album werde ich reinhören, um es dann wahrscheinlich bis auf zwei Ausnahmen (wie beim letzten Album) für immer wegzulegen.
Naja, viel haben wir nicht gemacht. Am besten einfach mal im StudiVZ bei so 'ner Splash-Gruppe vorbeischauen, da haben viele ihre Splash-Fotoalben verlinkt.

Ne, ist ein wirklich gutes Album. Aber bei F.R. ist für mich, so blöd das klingen mag, immer noch die Stimme ein kleines Problem. Wird über ein ganzes Album lang etwas stressig. Auch die geträllerten Hooks mag ich nicht so. Raptechnisch natürlich zur Elite gehörend.
