Elton Brand
Elton Brand appears to be on track to return from his dislocated shoulder against the Knicks Saturday. Brand is expected to come off the bench and play in short stints of four to six minutes. It might be wise to keep him reserved until you see how he fares on the court.

Drew Gooden
Drew Gooden went to see specialists on Thursday regarding his strained left groin. Coach Vinny Del Negro says that "[Gooden's] groin is really bothering him," and at this point it's uncertain when he'll return to action.

Mardy Collins
Mardy Collins last just four minutes on Friday after straining his left calf. Tough break if you played him this week. We're calling him day-to-day but should know more over the weekend.

:wall: :wall: Yao Ming :wall: :wall:
Yao Ming said after the game that he hurt his knee early in the first quarter on Friday and X-rays revealed no breaks. He left in the second quarter and did not return. "I’ll see how I feel tomorrow," he said. "It was just a knee-to-knee hit…I felt a little bit funny after the first play." It sounds like Yao diverted disaster here, but we'll have to see how he feels over the weekend before knowing the extent of his injury. Consider him day-to-day.

Jamal Crawford
Jamal Crawford was a late scratch for Friday's game with a hamstring injury. Anthony Morrow started in his place, while Monta Ellis (ankle), Kelenna Azubuike (ankle) and Andris Biedrins (hand) were all in the the starting lineup as well. Crawford has been playing some monster minutes of late and was probably due for a break anyway. Anthony Randolph is also out for the Warriors with the flu.

Michael Redd

Latest News:
Michael Redd left during the third quarter of Saturday's game after straining his left knee. He did not return and is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Sunday. Redd limped off the court, and we can only hope that this isn't anything too serious. If he ends up missing significant time, Charlie Villanueva, Richard Jefferson and Ramon Sessions will likely be asked to pick up the slack on offense. Check back on Sunday for the test results.

Bucks' Redd could be out 'a while' w/ knee

Bucks' shooting guard Michael Redd could be out for "a while" with a strained left knee, according to the Journal-Sentinel's Tom Enlund.
"Obviously, it hurts," said Redd, who missed 14 games earlier this season with a sprained ankle. "By (today), we'll get more information. I landed on (Luke) Ridnour's foot and it twisted." As his owners know, when Redd gets hurt, he tends to miss large chunks of time. We're still awaiting the MRI results, but owners should probably prepare for life without Redd for at least a week. Bucks' shooting guard Michael Redd is out for the rest of the NBA season with tears in the ACL and MCL of his left knee.
Redd suffered the injury in the third quarter of Saturday night's game againt the Kings and the tears were revealed in Sunday's MRI. Charlie Bell is the early favorite to win the starting job, but Ramon Sessions and Tyronn Lue will also get some extra minutes with the loss of Redd. In addition, Charlie Villanueva's stock should remain fairly high for the rest of the year.

Mardy Collins

A left calf strain will keep Mardy Collins sidelined for another week or two, according to coach Mike Dunleavy. That means Fred Jones, who had 19 points, four boards, seven assists and three 3-pointers Monday should probably be given a look if you need a short-term fix in your league. Just keep in mind that Baron Davis is due back soon, which will obviously limit Jones' value as a point guard.

Marcus Camby
The game recap for the Clippers indicated that Marcus Camby is not due back from his ankle injury until "sometime during the Clippers' seven-game road trip that begins Friday in Cleveland." However, the L.A. Times also suggests that it could happen "sooner," but it doesn't sound like Camby has a great shot at playing Wednesday against the Bulls. There's still a chance he could play two or three games this week, but this sounds like a tough break for owners who rolled the dice on him this week.

Zach Randolph + Baron Davis
Zach Randolph (knee) and Baron Davis (tailbone) are expected to miss the Clippers game on Monday. Davis is hoping to return on Wednesday, but we haven't had an update on Randolph's expected return date for some time now. Keep him benched until a positive report surfaces.

Andrei Kirilenko
The Jazz still weren't sure Monday if Andrei Kirilenko will undergo foot surgery soon, or wait until the offseason. "I don't know where we go from here," Jazz GM Kevin O'Connor said Monday. "In the next 24-to-48 hours we'll make some decisions on what we're going to do." A recent MRI on his right foot showed the same results as the previous one and the Jazz are currently obtaining a second opinion. If Kirilenko has the surgery now he'd likely be sidelined for about one month.

Yao Ming
Yao Ming has been ruled out of Monday's game after feeling soreness in his knee during a series of pre-game tests. He plans to play Wednesday against Philadelphia. Assuming he does stick to the plan and return Wednesday, Yao will now only play twice this week (against the Sixers and the Warriors).

Jamal Crawford
Jamal Crawford (hamstring) took part in the Warriors’ light practice on Monday, but how he does on Tuesday will determine his status for Wednesday's game. If Crawford is ready on Wednesday, he would be able to play in all three of the Warriors games this week. Check back soon for the final word.

Andray Blatche
A collision with Shaquille O'Neal near the end of Monday's loss resulted in a left knee injury for Andray Blatche that caused him to leave the game and leaves him questionable going forward. Blatche said his knee "buckled and came back in place" but that X-rays were negative. "It’s real sore," he said. "I thought it was something serious. It should be fine." Obviously not the way Blatche's owners wanted to see the week begin, so just cross your fingers and hope he's ready to go on Wednesday at Miami.

DeShawn Stevenson
Wizards guard DeShawn Stevenson (back) hopes to return to action either Friday or Saturday. Stevenson, who has missed 14 consecutive games, said his back is "still tight" but the pain in his leg has dissipated. He has two practices and two shootarounds to gauge his health, so we should have updates later in the week.

Gerald Wallace
Gerald Wallace has a collapsed left lung and a broken rib as the result of the flagrant foul from Andrew Bynum in last night's game against the Lakers. Wallace could be released from the hospital on Thursday, but there's still no timetable for when he might return, and our guess is it could be a while before he's back on the court. Hopefully a timetable for his recovery will become clearer in the next couple of days.

Michael Beasley
Heat forward Michael Beasley left Monday's game in the second quarter after knocking knees with another player. Coach Eric Spoelstra expects Beasley to be fine, but added that he wants him to wear knee pads from now on. "It could have been prevented," Spoelstra said.

Trevor Ariza
Trevor Ariza is still struggling after suffering a concussion on Tuesday and could miss time for the Lakers. Ariza experienced nausea, dizziness and ringing in his ears after being hit in the head by Charlotte’s Juwan Howard. Publicist John Black said if the Lakers, who leave L.A. for a six-game road trip on Thursday, were traveling on Wednesday instead, Ariza would not accompany the team. He's listed as day-to-day.

Yao Ming (Ich lass mich mal überraschen...)
Yao Ming (knee) says that he's playing Wednesday night against the Sixers, "for sure." He was ruled out of Monday's game with soreness just prior to tip-off, but it appears as though he's all systems go for Wednesday, so make sure he's in your lineup in case he wasn't there already.

Danny Granger
Danny Granger, who missed Wednesday's game with a right knee injury, says the knee has been bothering him for some time and even caused him to miss some workouts over the summer. "I needed it to be numb because I couldn't jump on it," he said of icing the knee during time outs. "The other night in Orlando, by the time the second quarter came around and I was done. I'm hoping this doesn't last long." To make matters worse, coach Jim O'Brien said he's not sure if Granger will play against the Heat on Friday. This is frightening news and if you're a concerned owner, you'll have to make a decision on whether or not to try to deal him for a healthy stud. Hopefully though, it's not serious and he'll just continue to play through it. Granger has sure done a nice job of concealing the injury up to this point, and will typically play regardless of how badly he's hurting.

Morris Peterson
Morris Peterson left Wednesday's game with a sprained left foot. No word on the severity of the injury.

Luke Ridnour
Luke Ridnour had 10 points, four rebounds, four assists and a two steals before leaving Wednesday's game with a concussion in the fourth quarter. He took an elbow to the nose and concussions can knock players out anywhere from a game or two to a couple weeks. We're guessing his week is over, but should know more on Thursday. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Gerald Wallace
There is still no time table on when Gerald Wallace might return from a collapsed lung and broken rib, but it sounds like he will miss a signifcant amount of time. The Bobcats will sign forward Cartier Martin on Thursday to help fill the hole left by Wallace's absence, and the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell suggests that Wallace could miss "a week or more" of games once he's released from the hospital. Don't cut Wallace, but don't count on having him available in the next couple weeks, either.

Andray Blatche
Andray Blatche will miss two to four weeks after sustaining a strained left knee in a collision with Shaquille O'Neal on Monday.

Steve Blake
Steve Blake (shoulder) will not play in the Blazers game on Wednesday and is doubtful for Saturday. "Even though we are listing him as day-to-day, from what I see, I think he needs another week," said coach Nate McMillan. Keep him benched and maybe we'll hear something encouraging heading into next week.

Samuel Dalembert
Samuel Dalembert (sprained ankle) will be a game-time decision for the 76ers on Saturday. Elton Brand will start if Dalembert can't play, so feel free to get E.B. into your lineups. Even if Sammy sits this one out, his owners have to be pleased that the injury wasn't more severe.

Tracy McGrady
Tracy McGrady is listed as a game-time decision after spraining his ankle in Friday's practice. Will he or won't he play? Owners probably have to prepare themselves for that question on most of the Rockets' game days from here on out.

Desmond Mason
Desmond Mason will miss the remainder of the season due to a hyperextended right knee that will require surgery to remove debris from the injured area. Mason wasn't much of a fantasy factor, but he was starting and playing 27 minutes a game for Oklahoma City.

Andrew Bynum
Andrew Bynum left Saturday's game after spraining his right knee during the first quarter. X-rays were negative but he left the arena in a wheelchair and is expected to have an MRI on Sunday. The need for a wheelchair makes it sound like Bynum could miss significant time, but his owners can take solace in the initial diagnosis of a sprain, considering what could have been. Another positive angle is that it's not the same knee that needed surgery last season. Check back soon for an update.

Vince Carter
Vince Carter described his ankle sprain as mild and said he doesn't expect to miss any games. New Jersey doesn't play again until Tuesday, so Carter's owners caught a lucky break. He sounds like a safe play in the Nets upcoming four-game week, but it never hurts to double-check his status.

Brad Miller
Kings center Brad Miller will likely miss at least two games with an abdominal strain, it was announced on Saturday. That rules him out for back-to-back games on Sunday and Monday, but at least the Kings don't play again until Friday. With just three games on the schedule, owners in weekly leagues have little choice but to bench him.

Bobby Simmons
Nets forward Bobby Simmons left Saturday's game with an abdominal strain and did not return. If Simmons misses any time, guys like Trenton Hassell and Jarvis Hayes will play extended minutes. Check back soon for an update.

Kelenna Azubuike
Kelenna Azubuike did not play for the Warriors on Saturday because of tendinitis in his left knee. Ronny Turiaf got the start in place of Azubuikie, which would be surprising on any team other than the Warriors. Golden State's next game is on Monday, and we're considering Azubuike questionable in the absence of an update.

Beno Udrih
Kings point guard Beno Udrih is not expected to play on Sunday because of a left calf contusion. Udrih has been playing so poorly of late that his inactivity might actually be a relief for some owners. The starting point guard will likely be either Bobby Brown or Francisco Garcia, and we're considering Udrih day-to-day.

Jared Jeffries
Knicks center Jared Jeffries bruised his left thigh during Saturday's game and did not return. Jeffries has very limited fantasy appeal, so his absence shouldn't affect too many squads.

Daequan Cook
Heat guard Daequan Cook left Saturday's game with a left thigh injury and did not return. Cook left the arena on crutches, unable to put weight on his leg, and it sounds like he could miss a few games with the injury. We should have an update on Sunday.
