Early reports indicate that Dwyane Wade suffered a separated left shoulder on Wednesday, an injury that could keep him out for up to six weeks.
In his first season with the Heat, guard Eddie Jones missed 15 games after dislocating his left shoulder on March 7, 2001. Jones said he had to strengthen his shoulder before returning to play, then had offseason surgery to officially repair the joint. Jones said when he initially returned in April of 2001, he still felt his shoulder was weak. "Hopefully his is not that bad,'' Jones said. In any case, Wade owners should start making preliminary plans to be without his services for the next several weeks. However, it's important to note that Wade has not officially been declared to be out for an extended time frame at this point. But the news doesn't sound good.
