LeBron James isn't likely to play for the rest of the week due to the sprained index finger on his left hand.
The Akron Beacon-Journal suggests he's "month-to-month," but that might be a little strong, in our opinion. According to team sources, he's very likely to sit out tonight's game at the Washington Wizards, and he might even sit out the rest of the week due to fear of re-spraining the finger. Opposing teams will be aware of his injury and could target James' hand, especially as they slap at the ball as he drives to the basket. ''I'm pretty sure that LeBron will be able to play with it but at the same time, I'm pretty sure that it's going to be a target,'' Wizards forward Caron Butler said. At this point, owners just have to hope that we have a feel for whether LeBron will play next week. Dec. 5 - 2:21 am et
