Ich denke, mal der Großteil kann Englisch, aber wenn es Probleme gibt, einfach fragen.
Von "Seven" bei "Clublakers".
I'm really dumbfounded by so many members who think Caron should demand a proven player or a superstar!!! I'm actually one of the members who want Kwame, if he is the best big we can get for Buter. I'm just going to list the pros and cons of both players for us to compare.
KWAME BROWN
Pros:
1. We get an athletic 7 foot power forward that can play minutes along side Turiaf and Grant.
2. Cook and Slava don't have to play, hopefully even included in the trade.
3. Opens up a roster spot or two, depending on how many players is traded for him.
4. Solves our issue of having too many small forwards, and power forwards who should be small forwards...ehem...ehem, Odom and Cook.
5. Odom will finally be moved to his original position at the small forward position, where Phil wants him.
6. He's only 22 years old, so don't tell me that he has reached his prime.
Cons:
1. Very immature due to age and development being on the wrong team at the wrong time.
2. Not a polished offensive and defensive player. Not sure if he only plays with heart, no brains, or neither.
3. Being only 22, he maybe the person Bynum would look up to. He would be a very bad example if he stays the way he is as a Laker.
CARON BUTLER
Pros:
1. Very nice guy on and off the court. He gets along with Kobe and his teamates.
2. Aggresive on the offensive end and loves to attack the basket.
3. Only 25 years old, so there is still potential of being better.
4. A solid scorer and good outside shooter.
Cons:
1. Phil will have to try and see where Butler fits. Will he be our starting shooting guard, point, or small forward, or maybe he is our 6th man?
2. We will have too many small forwards like Odom, Jones, Butler, George and Walton at small forward, not to include Kobe who can play that position also. Which means rotation may be affected since playing time maybe distributed for Odom, Jones and Butler.
3. El Matador Defense!!!
4. A El Bull on offense...offensive foul in the making on every drive!!!
5. Can't handle the ball well enough to be our point or shooting guard.
6. Butler's contract ends after next season. He will demand more money, which we don't have due to cap space. In other words, we lose him for nothing.
Kwame - A 22 year old athletic 7 footer who is barely scratching the surface of his potential. He was in a bad situation in DC playing along side Jordan his first year, while having to carry the burden of being the #1 pick and the future of the lowly Wizards on his 18 year old shoulders.
So we the right coaching, ehem...ehem, this is where you come in Phil and the right surrondings, it's possible it can turn this kid arround into a very solid player, if not a superstar.
Butler - A 25 year old 6'7 small forward, which would probably considered undersized compared to small forwards today. He had some potential to improve a little bit, but not much since he is already at an age where players usually hit their prime. He was in a great situation in Miami and LA, but still has yet to show us that he is a star in the league. He is a very solid small forward, no doubt and can help any NBA team. Unfortunately, the Lakers have Odom and Jones, who are better than him in that position.
