AFC:
Patriots:
The Patriots have clinched a playoff berth. They can clinch the AFC East and a first-round bye with a win or a Jets loss.
Steelers:
The Steelers clinched a playoff spot based on a tiebreaker that will go their way on strength of schedule. It's all tied up in the AFC North with two games to go. The Steelers and Ravens split their season series, so tie-breakers could determine a winner. And the Steelers, at this point, have a superior division record, so if they win out, they take the AFC North.
Jets:
Jets needed a victory at Pittsburgh to stop the bleeding. And a big one it was. Not yet locked in, but they can now breathe a little easier.
Chiefs:
The Chiefs in the final two weeks are at home, where they haven't lost this season. Win both, and the division is theirs.
Ravens:
Playoffs shouldn't be an issue with games against teams that have combined for just eight wins, and a head-to-head tie-breaker over the sixth-seeded Jets.
Colts:
Now tied for the AFC South lead, the Colts control their own destiny. Win their final two and they capture the division title.
NFC:
Falcons:
Falcons are close to wrapping up the NFC South, and now it appears more and more like the NFC path to the Super Bowl will go through Atlanta.
Bears:
Chicago has put itself in position for the NFC's No. 2 seed and a first-round bye due to its head-to-head win over the Eagles earlier this season.
Giants:
Second loss to Philly makes it almost impossible to win the division. Now the
Giants hope to hang on to the No. 6 seed.
Eagles:
The Eagles swept their season series with the Giants, and now are just a victory or New York loss from wrapping up the NFC East.
Saints:
Even with loss to Ravens, New Orleans has a tight grip on the No. 5 seed. Week 16 win over Atlanta could make things interesting in the season finale.
Rams:
Despite being two games under .500, the Rams are in good position with two games left. They've already beaten the Seahawks once, and a sweep in the season finale could give them their first playoff berth since 2003.
