After being named Eastern Conference Player of the Week earlier in the week, Al Jefferson was pulled late in Wednesday's game with a sore left foot. He pitched in with 20 points and 13 rebounds before being pulled against the Rockets. The injury doesn't sound too serious at this time, but we'll update you with more once the Celtics release a report.

He could stay overnight for precautionary purposes tonight. Following a head injury like this, it's common for players to sit out a few games before returning. Stash West on your bench until he's cleared to return to play.

Meine Fresse. Das wären jetzt schon 4 meiner Spieler allein in dieser Woche.
Zum Glück habe mich Joe Johnson nicht noch geholt. Habe darüber nachgedacht vor zwei Wochen.
Hoffentlich fallen D. West und Jefferson nicht so lange aus. Beim Rest hört es sich ja schlimmer an. Denke West so ca. 3 Games und Jefferson ein Spiel. Bin einfach mal optimistisch.

Weiß irgendeiner von Euch etwas darüber, warum Eduardo Najera nur 5 Minuten gespielt hat?
Hat nix mit dem Crossover-Spiel zu tun, sondern brauche die Info für mein yahoo-Team. Hab' ihn schon gefeuert, nur falls er verletzt ist, gäbe es in unserer Liga einen noch zu habenden passenden Ersatz. (Habe mir jetzt schonmal Craig Smith geholt für's Erste.)

X-rays were negative, but what horrid luck considering this was just his second game back after missing over 30 with the broken leg. It's unclear if Yao will have to miss any time with this injury, but we'll try to update you later in the day.

In fact, Yao said he could have returned to the game but the Rockets had things well in hand so there was no need. Expect him to be back in action on Friday. This is a tremendous relief for his owners who have already missed the big man for a huge chunk of the season. You can feel free to exhale now.
