Ray Allen G Out Mar 1 ankle Day-to-day

The Tacoma News Tribune is reporting that Ray Allen could miss the rest of the NBA season due to bone spurs in his left ankle. A Friday morning CT scan will determine whether Allen, who missed Thursday's game against the Clippers, will need season-ending surgery. He's been bothered by the injury for several weeks and will need surgery at some point, even if he decides to play through the rest of the season. "The bone spur is there from the last time I went to the doctor, but it has gotten worse," Allen said. "We'll just see how it goes the next couple of days because if it does not get any better, I could have surgery sooner." Allen owners should look to deal him immediately, although doing so would likely raise questions of ethics. However, he hasn't been ruled out for the season at this point.

Lamar Odom suffered a left shoulder injury near the end of Friday's loss to Sacramento and will undergo an MRI exam on Saturday.

He did not immediately exit, so let's hope that the impending test turns out to be precautionary. The Lakers play an afternoon game on Sunday; check back before game time for the latest on his status.

After an MRI exam on Saturday, it has been revealed that Lamar Odom suffered a torn left labrum in Friday's loss to Sacramento.

Simply put, the news is awful for owners and another blow in a season-long series of major fantasy injuries. The Lakers would not comment on whether Odom would be out for an indefinite period, but it would be shocking to see him play again this season unless the tear is very minor. Odom suffered the same injury two years ago and missed the end of the season. It will be interesting to see whether Phil Jackson opts to go big and start Andrew Bynum and Kwame Brown together, or whether someone like Brian Cook or even Aaron McKie picks up the slack. Artest reportedly arrested for domestic violence

Last month Ron Artest was cited for neglecting dogs on his property, and his troubles have now escalated. The Sacramento Kings star was arrested on Monday morning in his home on domestic violence charges, according to a report on the Sacramento Bee Web site.

Placer County Sheriff's officials announced the charges and scheduled a 7 p.m. ET news conference to discuss the incident.

According to the report, police responded to a a 911 call at 9:23 a.m. PT, and deputies found the woman who made the call at Artest's Loomis, Calif., home. After interviewing the woman and the player separately, police arrested Artest.

He was charged at the Placer County Jail with domestic violence and using force or violence to prevent his victim from reporting a crime, the Bee reported, citing officials involved in the case.

In early February, it was revealed that Artest paid $1,942 in boarding and impound fees because some of his dogs had spent a total of 77 nights at the Placer County pound since July. Animal control officers had gone to Artest's five-acre estate seven times in that period in response to callers' complaints about dogs being loose or not being fed.

Artest completed anger management for a domestic violence charge in 2004, and the mother of his children was charged with the same crime for hitting Artest in 2002.

Naja, mal abwarten, vll. ist er auch schneller zurück als man denkt. Wenn sich alle gütlich einigen und man bei den Kings glaubt MIT Artest noch die POs erreichen zu können, könnte er auch schnell zurück sein....
