The Answer to T-Back?
Not that signing Kelenna Azubuike isn't a significant addition.
But if the Rockets are truly making the statement that now is there time, perhaps there's one more move left to make this summer.
Tracy McGrady for Allen Iverson.
Despite protestations to the contrary, The Answer is still available in Philly. And despite claims to the contrary, the Rockets have to be very concerned about T-Mac's T-Back, which pretty much cost them all of last season.
This much is certain. McGrady is a magnificent performer, a sight to behold when he's healthy. Iverson is a gamer.
Everytime McGrady goes up into the air, the Rockets will hold their breath. Everytime Iverson is slammed to the floor, the toughest little guy in the NBA jumps right back up.
McGrady is 27 with nine years of NBA wear on his tires (and a chronic back). Iverson is 31 with 10 years in the league.
McGrady has never won a single playoff series in his career and he's led by margins of 3-1 and 2-0. Iverson almost singlehandedly dragged the Sixers to the 2001 NBA Finals, when the second-highest scoring player on the team was Aaron McKie.
Who makes you tougher?
Just a question..
