    🇯🇵 An die Japanfans

Nori is a phenomenom! He made his debut in 1989, so he jumped against such great names like Nykaenen, Puikkonen, Felder, Vettori, Ploc, he is still competing and he is very competitive as well! Any news about possible Okabe's retirement or future of Yliantilla?

    WC Lillehammer 2010

In all competitions where 'new rules' were used this season (Oberstdorf, Klingenthal, Willingen, Lahti, Kuopio, Lillehammer) winner would remain the same without wind bonuses. Today even the podium would remain the same : 1. Ammann 273.0 2. Schlierenzauer 266.3 3. Malysz 260.6 and it is...

    Weltcup Kalender 2010/2011

There are 'only' 24 homologated hills in Europe with a K point of 110m or more (etc. World Cup standard hills). 15 of them were used in original 2009/10 World Cup calendar (+2 in Sommer Grand Prix 2009) Germany has by far the most of them - 7 (Oberstdorf, GAP, Willingen, Klingenthal, Neustadt...

    Olympische Spiele Vancouver, Normalschanze, 13.02.2010

Yes, but to be honest, he wasn't that close to a medal (5.0 pts - 2.5 meters). For example, when he was 6th in Torino, he was 3.0 pts behind the bronze medal (Salt Lake City '02. - 1.5 pts, Nagano '98. - 1.0 pts)

Wind- und Anlaufregel: Endlich faire Wettkämpfe - oder unnötiger Ballast?

    1) True sporting fan, if he is asked why he enjoys the particular sport, will always put emphasize on rules of the game - and not on an athlete or a team. If sporting value of the discipline is lost, I see no reason why I should enjoy it anymore. I want a see a sporting event where I could see...

Wind- und Anlaufregel: Endlich faire Wettkämpfe - oder unnötiger Ballast?

Believe me, you would be surprised :D: Read my full quote : You are the one without valid arguments here. I have to say again that whoever will enjoy competitions under these new rules is not a sports fan, but a ski-jumping groupie. And I'm sorry You, your comment from yesterday also...

Wind- und Anlaufregel: Endlich faire Wettkämpfe - oder unnötiger Ballast?

If you really believe that you can accurately measure the effect that wind has on every jump with this system, then it speaks only about your level of knowledge and intelligence.

Wind- und Anlaufregel: Endlich faire Wettkämpfe - oder unnötiger Ballast?

So it can always happen that an athlete loses simply because his bonus was miscalculated. How is this creating competitions more fair? And the same thing goes with gate factor, also remember that style marks are only subjective. So there are now 3 factors which are pretty much subjective to...

Wind- und Anlaufregel: Endlich faire Wettkämpfe - oder unnötiger Ballast?

And please note, all of these 'lucky victories' you mentioned happened after 1 round competitions. FIS should emphasize on that, and not this silly wind rule which is creating even bigger lottery. If we have 2 rounds competition, we will get fair winner. It has always been like that.

Wind- und Anlaufregel: Endlich faire Wettkämpfe - oder unnötiger Ballast?

But if the wind is really influencing competitions so much, how is it possible that they are always on top? Also, do you really believe that this Wind Rule is 100% correct?

Wind- und Anlaufregel: Endlich faire Wettkämpfe - oder unnötiger Ballast?

And how do you explain logically that those 3/4 jumpers are never influenced by bad wind, while everybody else is? Maybe this is the reason why they are actually wining competition after competition...

Wind- und Anlaufregel: Endlich faire Wettkämpfe - oder unnötiger Ballast?

Also, does anybody here remember the season when FIS stopped displaying wind graphics on TV during the competition, because they said that tv-viewers were giving to much importance on wind influence? I believe that was 2003/04 or 2004/05.

Wind- und Anlaufregel: Endlich faire Wettkämpfe - oder unnötiger Ballast?

1 victory out of 26 competitions! Do you think that better team always wins in football, 26 out of 26 games? Or in any sport? Again, 1 lucky winner out of 26 competitions!

Wind- und Anlaufregel: Endlich faire Wettkämpfe - oder unnötiger Ballast?

Name all the victories that are 'suspicious' to you :pffft: And interestingly, 24 of 26 competitions last season were won by only 4 jumpers...and the same goes for this season also. Morgenstern, Ahonen and Schlierenzauer had 6 wins in a row. Schlierenzauer almost always wins in ski-flying. How...

Wind- und Anlaufregel: Endlich faire Wettkämpfe - oder unnötiger Ballast?

Name all undeserving winners from last 4 seasons :pffft: Wind was ALWAYS a factor in ski-jumping. Actually Hofer himself said that contrary to popular believe, wind is now in fact influencing results even less then before. Also, there was always the risk that the best jumper would simply...

Wind- und Anlaufregel: Endlich faire Wettkämpfe - oder unnötiger Ballast?

Klasse Beitrag! And Jacobsen would have won today with the old rules undoubtely, so even with the old rules best jumper almost always wins...but if the best jumper would win 100 times out of 100, that wouldn't be interesting, wouldn't it?
