Stimmt auch wieder.
Training ist nunmal nicht Wettkampf. Nicht mal dieselbe Schanze.
Naja, ich hoffe einfach mal das Beste für unsere Finnen!

And weekly binding update. The most important competitions of the season and two (2) Finnish jumpers (Matti and Anssi) are using Finnish National team's own and special, super hyper fancy, fabulous, safe, changing the sport and breathtaking(ly expensive) binding. Even Porttila has noticed that maybe the binding project isn't such a success story.

And Pekka is now saying that that there has been too much talk about the bindings. :hihi: Two weeks ago he was still talking how this binding would shnge everything in Oslo and give Finnish team awesome bonus. And during the summer and autumn he was not talking about anything else but the bindings and how they would change the whole sport. So maybe he shouldn't be so surprised there has been a lot of talk about bindings in Finnish media. He also should begin to understand that he is not head-coach of France any more. He will not get away for talking like this to media much longer in Finland. In Finland ski jumping is the major sport and you can not expect that no one cares or remembers what you were saying last week. It would have really been nice to show some responsibility. Just something like "the binding project has not yet given the results we have been hoping for, but the experience we have gathered will benefit us in future", would have made up a lot. Media has been surprisingly nice to him and given him more leeway than they have probably ever given for any of his predecessors but sooner or later his leeway will run out, if he doesn't put his act better together.

Also new issue of Urheilulehti. Not much ski jumping, just one very nice Havu story. If Havu is reading all these stories about him, he is probably blushing. It's seldom someone is so blatantly praised. Of course few have earned it like he has. :jap:

Oh, dear, Finnish team is back to full on passive-aggressive 'hell with it and screw you'-mode. I really hope Pekka can work miracles with the mood. We already have a bad L-word, we don't need a O-word. :neinnein:

They are kind of entertaining, when they are in this mood, though :duck:
-Anssi hasn't yet totally learned the right technique, he just tells that it would be nice to see a coach while he is giving a go-signal.
-Also Olli is not quite there. But he did tell the interviewer that he passed the quali (yeah, it's of course possible that they didn't know it already )
-Matti tells, that people can worry for him if they want to, doesn't bother him. (And he doesn't know, what is wrong.)
-Rane was in full 'piss off'-mode. When asked how was the jump, he told that it was like it had been lately, that 'surprisingly' there hadn't been a big chance over night. And that it doesn't matter, how jumping feels, they make a results based on points. He also tells, that tomorrow he will rely on luck. That there will be a giant blast of wind that takes him with it and throws him to decent lengths.

As I said: Oh, dear :neinnein:
