- Turkoglu averages 25/8/10
- Alston averages 17 Assists and dishes out 25 one game
- Redick hits 12 threes in one game
- One game will be won because of a stretch of JJ Redick's insane defense
- Ivey will have three 25/10 game, Philly loses all of them
- One game will be lost because Adonal Foyle knocks out the officials
- Howard will hit 89 % of his Freethrows
If the Sixers had played the last seven games of the season the way they had been playing rather than like a rec-league team, they could have easily finished 45-37.
And why did they play so poorly? Mostly, it was because of the sprained right ankle of Thaddeus Young. As surprising and slightly frightening as this truth is - since Young is a 20-year-old second-year player - what he offers on the offensive end appears to upgrade the Sixers from pretty bad to competitive.
Young may not be the go-to guy - that distinction belongs to Miller and Andre Iguodala - but he functions as the catch-all. Think of him as the overflow lot for Sixers possessions.
The shiny ones, the Iguodala alley-oop dunks, the curl-cut jumpers from Willie Green, the post-ups from Miller, those still had their place. But it was the struggling possessions, the ones that often ended with a Young slice-cut through the middle, a floated layup, or a snagged offensive board, it was these that no longer existed.
Those possessions - maybe one in five - had nowhere to park. And so they ended up as shot-clock violations, as no-chance three-pointers, as turnovers.
Young saved possessions. And he is back.

Orlando is a good team, don't get me wrong, but honestly, the Sixers have played better basketball against the best teams in the league than this Orlando team has.

If the Magic had played the last nine games of the season the way they had been playing rather than like a rec-league team, they could have easily finished 63-19. :thumb:
