Ward situation resolved!
By Patrick Kelley
The camp of junior welterweight "Irish" Micky Ward has received word that they will be granted six rooms, tickets, and all the other amenities that a main event fighter would expect. According to Main Events there was a misunderstanding when they told the Ward camp that they would not be granted as many of the complimentary rooms and tickets as they requested. Main Events (Gatti’s Promoter and the promoters for the card) stated that they had never denied Ward’s camp of rooms, just not as many as they initially requested. Bottom line: The much anticipated bout is still on as scheduled, May 18 on HBO, from Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut.
