Hater (CA): Do you remember your last chat when you were taking dumps on Orlando and Howard? Remember when Orlando led by Howard dismantled your favorite team in the last 2 games of the series? Remember that??!!!!! REMEMBER???!!!!!! Brady, Papi, and KG all done in the same year. Karma is coming back to bite the Bos sports scene in a big way.
SportsNation Bill Simmons: Do you remember the part where I kept pointing out how they should have won the series already and screwed up by not playing Pietrus, who was their key in Game 7 other than Hedo?
Jeff (MD): How many games can you see the Magic winning? I think winning one is a stretch.
SportsNation Bill Simmons: I think one. Howard will have one huge game and get everyone in Cleveland in foul trouble... probably game 3. The '09 Cavs are the '91 Bulls reincarnated... everyone keeps underestimating them and nobody realizes that they are about the blow thru these last 2 rounds.
SportsNation Bill Simmons: The Cavs have the best team - they can play D, they can shoot 3's, they can post up Z, and they have LeBron. They have an answer for everything. Watch what they do to Orlando. They're going to single-team Howard (which Boston should have done), stay home on the 3-point shooters, swarm high screens and drive the shooters away from the basket ... and Orlando is going to flounder offensively. You watch. Dwight Howard couldn't score 40 points in a game if he was going against Yi Jianlian's chair. That's how you beat Orlando - make Howard score 40 to beat you and shut down their shooters.
Andy G (New York) : Being a Cavs fan, I'm really scared of the Magic. Mike Brown might be the primary reason for us to lose, plus our frontline is biggest weakness. Also, the Magic have a lot of bodies to throw at Lebron. I think the series will go to 7. Plus it's a terrible match-up for the Cavs.
SportsNation Bill Simmons: The Magic just needed 7 games to beat a Celtics team that had 2 scorers with dead legs, Scalabrine/Marbury/House as their bench and actually ran a game-ending play for Glen Davis. Don't start thinking Orlando is good please.
yan (Southboro MA): Can people stop talking about the Magic. I just watched my depleted and tired team that didn't have a night where its two players each perform well (Pierce and Allen) almost beat them in 6 games.
SportsNation Bill Simmons: And probably would have if PP makes those 2 FT's with 3 mins to go in Game 6... that swung the series. Agreed. Let's all settle down on the Magic. They will be lucky to win 1 game.
opi (Austin,TX): "Don't start thinking Orlando is good please?" Bill, basketball is all about matchups -- you know that, and Orlando pretty much owned the regular season series but for 1 super close game in Cleveland. The other 2 games were won by about 30 points...not sure any other team in the NBA can say that with respect to Cleveland.
SportsNation Bill Simmons: Sure. This is why Cleveland is -800 to win the series. Go to Vegas and bet on the Magic, they are dying to take your money.
