Interim head coach Tony Barone Sr. said Gasol underwent an MRI exam and the results were negative.
"It depends on how he feels," Barone said, adding that the injury happened as a result of Gasol playing "a series of long minutes in games."

Carlos Boozer injured his left knee in a collision with Tyson Chandler early on Saturday and his return for the second half is doubtful.
Boozer is currently having X-rays taken on his knee, and owners just have to hope it's nothing more than a bruise. We doubt he's going to return to action tonight, but if he does we'll let you know.

The X-rays of Carlos Boozer, who did not return after bruising his left knee early in Saturday's game against the Hornets, turned out to be negative.
The team will reevaluate him on Sunday and his status for Monday is uncertain. The news appears to be great, but we'll have to wait a little bit to get a more definitive analysis.
Ich warte das erstmal ab, spielen heute eh nicht. Da Boozer aber grauenhaften Sched im Februar hat, muss man sich das überlegen.

Ben Wallace will undergo an MRI on Sunday and has been diagnosed with a hyperextended sprained left knee courtesy of Udonis Haslem's head. Coach Scott Skiles said team doctors told him there is nothing structurally wrong, but it sounds like Wallace is going to miss some games with this injury. "We're encouraged so far," athletic trainer Fred Tedeschi said. "On exam, it looks good. It doesn't look like anything's torn. You need another day to look at it for a timeline (to return). That's tough to predict." Wallace left the arena on a golf cart last night, crutches at his side. If we don't have an update on his status before your lineup deadline, we'd play it safe and bench him.
