Jemand wie Maik Willis kann sich heute freuen. Sind heute nicht weniger Interessenten geworden.

musste grade noch schmunzeln, als ich dieses Snippet von Chris Simms gesehen habe:

"Where the Steelers are drafting, and I'm not there yet as far as evaluating QBs, but it's not like there's going to be a ton of first-round options here, it sounds like, in college football. Certainly not from where I'm sitting at and looking at the landscape. I would think this is a team where you-know-who starts to come into play.

'Mr. Malik Willis, paging Mr. Malik Willis up with the Green Bay Packers. We need a quarterback here in Pittsburgh. Malik Willis, we think you can do it'. I Would think they're one of the teams that are exactly looking for a guy like Malik Willis."

Ich war 2022 ja lautstark pro Willis und anti Pickett, da wäre das wirklich witzig, wenn er am Ende doch noch in Pittsburgh landen würde. Glaube ich erst mal nicht dran, aber wer weiß ... die Pickett-Fraktion (Colbert/Tomlin) von damals ist ja komplett weg. In erster Linie freuts mich aber für Willis, dass er seine Karriere nach Tennessee doch noch halbwegs retten konnte und jetzt vielleicht ein bisschen Kohle macht. Sah ja doch lange nicht danach aus. Das Skillset fand ich damals schon einfach spannend, aber er war halt sehr, sehr, sehr roh.
