The Boston Globe has it that Diaw could be headed to the Orlando Magic in exchange for a swingman who used to play for the Bobcats, Jason Richardson(notes), who has only been in Orlando for four games since being traded from the Phoenix Suns.

Magic center Dwight Howard says that he'll lay off referees this season.
The NBA is looking to crack down on how players treat referees and Howard will adapt. Fines for technical fouls have been doubled.
"I'll be fine," Howard said. "My teammates have asked me to do a better job of not getting frustrated, not showing so much frustration."
Howard has been among the league-leaders in technical fouls and has earned a reputation as a whiner.
Rashard Lewis said he's "a little bit" concerned about Howard, but added that Dwight did "say in the meeting that that's one thing he's working on --- leaving the refs alone.
"He knows he did it a lot last year and he's trying to change."
After practice on Sunday, Magic power forward Brandon Bass told the Sentinel that he might need arthroscopic surgery if his left knee doesn’t improve.
“I might need to get it scoped, be out a few weeks,” Bass said. “I don’t know. We’ll see.”
Bass said he came down on his left in the second quarter of the game against the New York Knicks onThursday night and “heard a pop.”
Bass said his knee has been sore and has had some swelling since then.
He has missed the last two practices, sitting out Friday and Sunday.
Bass said he underwent an MRI and could determine after Monday morning’s shootaround whether he might need surgery.
The Magic face Golden State on Monday night at Amway Center.
If Bass can not play, Ryan Anderson will start at power forward.
