Beyond the big promotion of the Pride Real Deal, in United States, in October, the meeting of the fighters at the Best Buy of California, on August 10th, was a real meeting between the Brazilian Vitor Belfort and the former Boxing champion Mike Tyson. "We talked about a lot of things, because that was a long time that we wanted to meet each other and we never had this opportunity. At this time it was really cool and I told how Jesus changed my life and he said to me that I should return and rock. He also said that he is Rodrigo Minotauro's fan", said Belfort.
Tyson can even show up in the next editions of the Japanese organization. Asked in the press collective about an eventual confrontation between Wand and Tyson, the Pride representative Keiichi Sasahara announced: "Tyson could face any fighter of the Pride", guaranteed. But, according to MMA Weekly.com, Tyson would probably do a fight in China, under Boxing rules.
