Naturally, Jackson wasn't entirely serious when he said all that before the Lakers faced the Indiana Pacers on Friday at Staples Center.
But he wasn't exactly joking, either.
Actually, to quote the Hall of Fame coach verbatim, he said:
"We've just had to come to the conclusion that Sasha is an emotional player who plays by the seat of his pants, and that's about it. He just doesn't have a brain. He's just out there whacking away, working really hard, but a lot of times he's playing by the seat of his pants. He doesn't use his head out there at times.
"We're working with him. We're hoping he learns."
When someone made a "Wizard of Oz" reference, Jackson chuckled at the thought of Vujacic playing the role of the Scarecrow and going off to see the Wizard in search of a brain.
"Maybe he needs to get in that poppy field for a while," Jackson said.
