If this is true, and unfortunately no reason not to believe :sauer: :barb: :sauer:
Basically, Finnjumping financial situation is even worse than they thought. They don't even know yet, how bad. And they have started minimizing costs and let Kari PÀtÀri go. They are also not planning to replace Hofer (but that is not that big of the problem, they can manage without technican if they have to, they have done it before.) But kicking out PÀtÀri :mad1: :donk: :sauer:
Yeah, he was not absolutely needed running the top jumping, but he was the one who was coordinating junior and club work. Certainly Ounasvaara, Puijo, Lahti and Kuusamo can manage their junior work without help, but there are about 30 other small clubs who do have ski jumping junior work. And lot of juniors in those clubs. And they really needed PÀtÀri. Many of Finland's former top jumpers have at least started in some other Clubs than Puijo, Lahti or Ounasvaara and we would certainly need those smaller clubs also in future.
Good news, if there are any, are, that they plan for minimizing combi's costs doesn't sound quite that bad. Next season we will have team RyynÀnen-Manninen, who will train by themselves under Lapin Urheiluopisto (not necessarily bad thing at all, Lapin Urheiluopisto does have very high quality know-how both in ski jumping and cross-country skiing) and the national team organization/Finnjumping will concentrate to CoC with other current athletes and junior work. Of course this is not ideal, but considering financial situation and in what level other Finns are, the plan makes sense. Let's just hope Hannu doesn't get work as a pilot just yet and leave Janne all alone.
