Niemelä certainly knows how to twist the knife:

I understand that they want to teach Olli some humility but Niemelä has to be careful that he does not start to sound totally ridiculous.
That or he is living in some alternate reality where Finnish ski jumping team has accidentally been switched with Austrian team. Somehow I don't believe that it is that kind of "amazing success" that for example Keituri, Ruuskanen or even Koivuranta are having that would satisfy Harri and consider it a really amazing season.
Anyway, the reality is, that Finnish team behind Hautamäki is extremely weak at the moment. Weaker than ever, I'm afraid. If Harri will be able to jump even anywhere close to his normal mediocre routine level, he will be at the team, no matter what (well, if he does not punch the coach or someone else or anything like that.) If he will not be able to do that (very much possible, he does have also lots of problems with his technique at the moment) I don't see how not being at the team would be a loss for him. If that is a case, it is better for him to go home to train, maybe be able to jump better at the spring or even totally opt out of this season, concentrate to work with other matters and come back stronger and better prepared next season.
