Rane, Olli and Anssi have not yet gotten Pekka's memo, that conditions had nothing to do with their good first round. They all thought they were really, really lucky with conditions in the first round. ;)

Anssi is very, very happy and also BiP is satisfied. :) Rane seems surrendered with his form but is ready to fight in team comp.

Pekka is also very happy with Anssi, not so happy with BiP and thinks Rane was in his current level. He misses Havu and Larinto. And he stays positive and believes they have every chance tomorrow (who is surprised? :D:)

An sich wars auch sehr gut...Von Anssi, Olli und Janne konnte man auch nicht viel mehr erwarten...Allerdings is Mattis Medaillen-Traum in Rauch aufgegangen..Er springt wirklich ueberzeugend, aber wenn die Bedingungen nicht optimal sind funktioniert gar nichts mehr...:(

Ich vermute mal, dass Havu auch morgen nich auflaufen wird. So muss der alte Mann morgen definiv die Kruecke weglegen und alles zeigen..Die Ösis sin weg, aber dann...Die Deutschen sind stark, von den Norwegen abgesehen schätz ich die Polen auch sehr stark ein.. Das wird sehr eng werden..
 
Auch wenn sie nciht das halten konnten, was im 1. Durchgang raus kam, fand ich unsere Jungs doch ganz ok. Rane hat mehr oder weniger seinen besten Wettkampf in dieser Saison geliefert und auch Anssi und Olli waren für ihre Verhältnisse gut. Nur Masa hat leider liegen gelassen.
Man kann auf jedne Fall von einem recht geschlossenem Ergebnis sprechen. Bin gespannt auf morgen!

Nothing official about Havu yet, also Rane said, that he does not know Havu's situation for tomorrow (but I think he may have lied, it somehow seemed like he already knew he will jump tomorrow.)

I think there would be no sense to risk Havu. He may well have a chance in large hill, and he was not that impressive in normal hill trainings. He would not bring much on the table for tomorrow, that Rane and BiP are not also bringing (expect a risk for the knee.)

So er scheint auch ein wenig demotiviert zu sein. Es scheint nicht wirklich vorwärts zu gehen und auch weis er nicht so richtig warum.

Ich muss zu mein Schande gestehen ich hab nicht verfolgt das Springen heute. Aber ein 10. Platz von Anssi ist wirklich ein Erfolg. Und auf den grössere Schanze er sollte noch besser sein. Auch Muotka. Havu noch in Reserve zu haben ist auch kein ganz schlechte Gefuehl in Blick auf den Holmenkollen (so sollte man ihn sehen wegen Nebel ;)).

He thinks they should call Jussi to replace himself for tomorrow. And if that doesn't work, he tries to hex Havu's knee to work for normal hill. And about his technical mistake:

EDIT: And they are still thinking of jumping Havu tomorrow. He will probably jump in the morning's training and after that they decide. I don't really understand why. He was not training that well earlier and who would they replace with him? Rane and Olli are at least stable, and even if Matti's attitude (and today's jump) suck, they are probably not thinking of replacing him.
EDIT2: They are indeed thinking of replacing Matti, if he does not get his jump together according Porttila (in twitter).

He seems to be really desperate... he had some really nice training jumps, but then it changed and immediately he reacts in such a way... :neinnein:

Yes it is. But right now we would not need typical Masa (as much as we love his sarcasm), but the mature Masa, who doesn't sink to the unconstructive emotions. If Masa doesn't get his head straight, this will only be a new L.

Fortunately at least none of the guys is deadly afraid of reporters this time :neinnein:

It's really odd, that as much as it's always talked after big competitions, Finnish team never seems to get to the point, there they would earnestly start to work with mental training. And not so, that they have one or two lectures from some celebrity mental coach, but really bring things like managing emotional state, how to work in team, how to prepare for tough spots etc. to part of their regular training. It's always the same song about awesome team spirit and how it's enough mental training etc. Espacially this year we have heard about awesome and trouble free team spirit and how it helps ad nauseam. We have not seen a lot from it, but certainly everytime they have a chance, team officials like to talk about it (sometimes to the point of making it sound suspiciously like they were trying to hide a problem.)

I know Masa's sarcasm also and i know what you mean and that what you've wrote Marre, is right and the same what i thought:knuddel:. And you are definitly right Lauri and Marre: It's not the time for that! :hmpf:
Mental training is really important at such big competitions.
I hope that the guys will have a good result,tomorrow.

wer ist das und was hat es mit matti gemacht? Kann ihm bitte mal jemand gut zureden? Ich mag ja seinen sarkasmus gern, aber das klingt ja wieder nach karriereende. Und das will ich nicht.

Wenn er sagt, dass er sich über seine Sprünge freut, dann sagt er nicht die Wahrheit... Sagen, dass die nicht gut waren?
Da gibt er mal was anderes als die Standardantworten und es ist auch nicht gut
Rani ist ein Familienmensch und findet es sicher traurig, wenn er bei Mico nicht dabei sein kann, gerade wenn es bei ihm nicht so läuft

Vielleicht sollten wir ins Quartier der Finnen fahren und die bösen Geister vertreiben. So mit Räucherstäbchen, Weihrauch, wilden Kostümen, viel Krach usw.

So ne Mischung aus Hexe, Winteraustreiben, Perchten usw.;)
