Na, da sind wir ja alle erleichtert:
The Chicago Bulls have dragged their feet through a bitterly disappointing season, but there will be no changes made in the front office.
Executive vice president John Paxson and general manager Gar Forman are not on the hot seat, and will not be replaced at season's end, even if the Bulls fail to miss the playoffs for a second straight season, sources told K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.
Both Paxson and Forman have the faith of Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf and his son Michael. They have history going back decades and ownership prefers stable management.
At 26-26, the Bulls are on track for a low playoff seed in the Eastern Conference. The franchise has seen Jimmy Butler take noticeable steps forward in his development into a perennial All-Star, while offseason import Dwyane Wade has been serviceable as the No. 2 to Butler.
That being said, Forman and Paxson has also come under fire from fans over their recent spate of uninspiring draft selections, to the acquisition of Rajon Rondo - a move that brought about needless friction and drama in recent weeks.
