Cavs get: Kevin Love, Malcolm Lee (if possible; he might be a FA though), MIN's 2013 2nd round pick
T'Wolves get: CLE's #1 pick, Tristan Thompson, CJ Miles, 2014 CLE 2nd round pick
WHY IT MAKES SENSE FOR CLEVELAND:
If I'm going to have a young big man with injury problems, I'l proudly take the All-Star that happens to be one of the best rebounders in the league, THE best outlet passer amongst big men (I'm sure Kyrie might like that), and a big that can run the P&P at the 3pt line. Kevin Love, when healthy, is at worst, the 2nd best PF is basketball -- and you only make that argument if you watch Portland games. K-Love would serve as the #2 option Kyrie Irving needs to help put Cleveland back in the playoffs. Period.
WHY IT MAKES SENSE FOR THE T'WOLVES
For one, if I'm not mistaken, Nikola Pekovic is a retricted FA. The Wolves need the cap flexability to re-sign or match any contract offered to him. They would get the #1 pick, which would definitely be used on Ben McLemore -- finally giving Minny a 2-guard that can score AND create his own shot. They would also get a young, athletic big in Tristan Thopmson that fits nicely beside Pek, and would be a great P&R target for Ricky Rubio. With Andrei Kirilenko being an unrestricted free agent, and Chase Buddinger coming back, why not get an athletic swingman in CJ Miles that compliments the needs of Ricky Rubio, while also being able to be the backup 2 OR 3 ? Miles and Alonze Gee are pretty much interchangable here, so either one works imo.
Was haltet ihr davon? Meiner Meinung eher schlecht für die T´Wolves, allerdings für Cleveland überragend.
