vor den playoffs etwas zum schmunzeln von
www.dallasbasketball.com:
1.Where were all the Hollywood stars for Sunday’s Mavs … Lakers .. decision at LA? No Jack Nicholson, no Sharon Stone, no Dustin Hoffman, no Andy Garcia, no Will Smith in the house to root for the Lottery Lakers?! Maybe they were all. … readying to be witnesses at the Michael Jackson trial? Giving each other Botox injections? Buying Clippers season tickets?
:laugh2:
2.Who will be this year’s Steve Kerr? The 2002 Mavs might’ve won the whole damn thing but for a Dirk injury and San Antonio’s Kerr hitting some unlikely big shots in the WCF. Here’s hoping the injury bug bites somewhere else and the Kerr-like performance ability bites somebody like, oh, Marquis Daniels.
3.When you pass through the Atlanta Hawks home locker room and then leave, do you get to take a bag of magic beans with you? In the last 16 months, Rasheed Wallace, Antoine Walker, Alan Henderson and Jason Terry have all become ex-Hawks. … and heroes in new playoff-bound cities.
4.Check out EVERYBODY’S All-NBA Team – from Sports Illustrated’s on down – and then ask yourself, as a Mavs fan who’s been along for the Dirk Nowitzki Ride for the last few years, do you fully realize what he’s done? Do you realize he IS a Duncan, he IS a Garnett?
5.Nothing against Dirk or Walker or Gary Trent or Erick Strickland – or Nellie, of course – but isn’t it nice to have centers playing center?
6.ESPN.com recently posted a survey question asking for votes on who would win the title, and Dallas wasn’t among the four teams listed. After five straight 50-win seasons, why don’t those of us who get offended by this dump the inferiority complex and quit caring about what some faceless techno-editor in Bristol, Connecticut, types?
