Kobe says he feels good about his condition, got out to scrimmage and played and didn't feel soreness in his knee
TJ Simers was brought up, talked about heated exchange with him, Kobe said he doesn't really wanna get into it, but he was trying to point out that if you had a criticism about game 7, don't sit there and criticize his competitive spirit, especially if you haven't been watching the series anyway.
Strategy for Game 7 was for everybody to be a threat. Different in game 6 was that they were in the ball game all game, but in game 7, he couldn't single handedly do it himself. Energy is better on the defensive end when everyone plays well, big confidence booster for all the guys, Kwame, Odom, Sasha, etc.
Had a great second half of the season, came close to doing something special, now they're reloaded and ready to try to do it again. Excited about season.
He's dissapointed about how people criticize him about when he shoots to much, he's selfish, when he doesn't shoot, he's trying to tank. Says he does exactly what Phil Jackson wants him to do.
Will play if he is 80 or 90%. But thinks his knee feels good and he won't have to.
Says he should be 100%, doesn't feel soreness in the knee.
Says he doesn't know if Bynum should be playing big minutes. Excited to see him grow, says he's a quiet kid but he's a hard worker.
Didn't have high expectations for Farmar, but he's surprised by his savvy and intelligence for the game. Quick hands around the ball, works well on defense, wouldn't be surprised if he played significant minutes this season.
Senses that the team has a passion to get the title back to LA.
Kobe believes that he will play next Tuesday, says he feels "pretty damn good right now"
Can't take off yet as far as getting to the basket and getting off that right leg, but thinks it will be ready for Tuesday (didn't sound too good).
Him and Lamar will be ready, and need to stay healthy. They are confident and are excited about playing the game.
Wants Mihm to come back, thinks he could be used in the middle against teams like the Suns.
Phil is loaded, ready to go. Kobe is happy he's healthy.
Joking about how many tech's he's going to get this year, says he can't get anymore.
Laughing about Vic the Brick being a Clippers bandwagoner.
Lesson learned from the Suns series, big series, part of growing up, learned a lot and hope it transfers to this season.
Appreciates that GM's believe he should be the guy taking a game winning shot.
Has more options this year for game winners, more shooters, open guys if he's double or triple teamed.
NOT PLAYING TONIGHT.
Says he will be 85% against the Suns opening night.
0% he will be on the show with TJ Simers. Says he will probably write something negative about him, they had a great relationship, but miscommunication led to him writing bad stuff about him. Will forgive TJ, not a big deal, will play basketball, has no hard feelings. Focuses on basketball and try to win games.
After 20 games, believes that they could be good if the team develops quicker. Despite injuries and how good the West is this year, everybody is relaxed, needs to execute strategy and feel they will be there in the end if they do that right.
