Let me get this out the way, NBA LIVE IS BACK. Controls are very responsive at the same time it's smooth. Live is notorious for those robotic animations and it's still there to a degree. But it doesn't feel robotic and stiff. The game feels smooth. The right stick dribbling is fun. You don't get stuck in animations, you have control and can chain together some nice crossovers. Graphically Live has the best looking arenas hands down. Player models are improved but the other guys still have the better looking players overall. Gonna dig into the demo some more and post more impressions, but I can confidently say the game is legit gameplay wise. And no this isn't me just being hyped or excited for a new game.
Haven't played the other game yet, but so far hands down the best on ball Defense I've seen in a video game.
Gameplay feels pretty good, much better then NBA Live 16 so that is a huge improvement.
What I really love in this game is the presentation, after having played NBA 2K17 all year this presentation in this game is definitely a huge difference if you ask me. Presentation just feels more natural as if your watching a real ESPN presentation. With NBA 2K17 it started to feel so I dont know how to say it but it feels like they are not watching what happens and some comments make a lot of times no sense but in this game I definitely had the feeling as if it was a real presentation so thats a huge plus on that point.
Player movement feels so nice. So very nice.
I'll kinda do a running impressions thing here. Just finished the intro Drew League game and I came away very impressed.
This is what Live 16 should have been.
Defense feels great. It's so nice to be able to keep up with guys.
Dribbling is cool, I think I gotta learn how to do more moves. Haven't really been able to blow past guys yet. Did it once though and it was sweet. Broke Kyrie's ankles with Steph.
I don't really see the issue with shooting that others have seen or are feeling. Feels fine to me. May be a personal thing.
Everything just flowed better. It's just simply a solid game of basketball so far.
I really like everything that's going on in the post. And I see bodies hitting and reacting as they are hit. No clipping or warping that I've seen so far.
Overall after a very short sample size, I am impressed. I'm not gonna sit here and say Live is back just yet. But I think we might just have two good basketball games this year.
I'm not sure I'm gonna get into "The One" very much, but it's fun. The game is fun period.
I've seen a few negatives, seems like sometimes the players don't move quick enough. Maybe that's just my player though.
I love the emotion the players show. Game feels alive. Crowd is great and love the presentation.
