College Summary: Big South POY. Hard player to explain. Just tries to make a lot happen. Some sort of 3/4/5 who can play on the ball, attacks, is ultra aggressive. Is a passer and finisher. Can shoot 3’s but not at a great clip. Rebounds, blocks shots. He dominates the flow of the game, is wild. Have to live with the risk taking. Needs freedom and the ball a fair amount for a forward.
Pro Outlook: When Mitch Creek triggered his out clause with Wurzburg to sign an NBA training Camp deal it left the team in lurch because Creek is such a unique player. So they went out and got another really unique Australian player. Adjusting to more of a team setting where Cooks has to play in a 8+ man rotation and share responsibilities will be a transition. Cooks did everything at Winthrop. So finding a clear role will be key. But his potential is fascinating.
