Bears at Commanders
It's amazing what good coaching can do. Bears should feel exited, Raiders, Vikings, Chargers up next.
Jaguars vs Bills (in London)
I wrote once about how if I was an NFL owner I would't sign a defensive minded HC. I had somewhat of an epiphany contemplating how a team like the Bills can lose to the Jets then play the Raiders, Commanders and Dolphins and blow their doors off and then fly to London to lose to the Jaguars. And I wanna give the Jaguars credit I think they're like maybe the 3rd or 4th best Team in der AFC but the Bills just came out flat. And people say the Jags had an advantage and the Bills where jetlagged and I get the point I'm just not sure if it's such big of a deal.
I think there is one thing that truely seperates defensive and offensive coaches.
I think defensive coaches are more like emotional leaders that motivate and kinda channel energy while especially nowadays offensive coaches are very analytical and much about creativity. And I think this plays a big part in why offensive teams tend to be more consistent and also tend to overcome injuries better, especially to their leaders.
With that said the Bills came out flat and played terrible.
Texans at Falcons
Still not sure about what I should make out of the Falcons and Arthur Smith
Panthers at Lions
See Jared Goff without Amon-Ra St.Brown? 1st Chairmen of the disrespected QB Club. Also this is Team is something else there is a clear Gap after 1 and 2 but Lions are the 3rd best Team in der NFC.
Titans at Colts
Anthony Richardson starts to feel a little like discount Cam Newton, but it's not all bad Shane Steichen is a great play caller he win Games with Gardner Minshew especially now with Jonathan Taylor back, Jags will be a tough out they've been scince Peyton Manning was starting for the Colts but then Browns, Saints, Panthers and Patriots and Gardner Minshew starting againt the Patriots over Anthony Richardson isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Giants at Dolphins
There's the rapier again.
Ya'll remember how Andrew Luck s career went out when he got sacked 174 times in 86 NFL games? Daniel Jones played in 59 games so far got sacked 177 times.
Saints at Patriots
I was wrong, lack of speed on the outside isn't the main problem for the Patriots neither is the OL, the main problem is Bill Belichick thinks he still can win games the way he could when Tom Brady was is QB. Is Mac Jones the problem? Well when you contributed 5 TDs for your team and 4 TDs for the opponents you're exactly healing.
Kraft should have real talk with Bill. He needs to give up personal he was never great at drafting players but he became outright bad at it. Of course Bill would not accept just anyone as GM you'd probably would have to get a guy the Bill already knows which makes things more complicated. If i was Bob Kraft I'd probably try to get Thomas Dimitroff but I would tell Belichick it's this or the door.
The positive thing is the Patriots are going to have a Top 10 pick but this is why It's so important to have this figured out. When Bill accepts a GM you can give him a chance, in my book, he earned that but if he is not willing to give up personal you can give him the opportunity to retire but if he says no to that you have to fire him try to get Ben Johnson or Kellen Moore.
Ravens at Steelers
Lamar and the Ravens dominated the rest of the AFC North Steelers always seem to get the best of them.
Eagles at Rams
Dominant performance by the Eagles but you could see they never had to work that hard against an opponent this year they dominated the game but realy had to work hard to put the Rams away and this is with...how many players on the Rams roster would start for the Eagles? 2? 3 maybe? If you don't think McVay and Raheem Morris are doing an amzing Job right now I don't know what to think.
Bengals at Cardinals
It seems like reports of their death where greatly exaggerated. I think the Bengals are getting healthier they might win 2 out of their next 3 and then...let's not get ahead of ourselves here Seattle comes of a buy and is a tough matchup for the Bengals but it's seems they're once more figuring it out.
Jets at Broncos
Well there are changes coming in Denver. You can say Russell Wilson isn't the Problem but he isn't the solution either and when someone pays you like the Broncos are paying Russell you can argue they have a right to expect that you're the solution.
People can criticize Sean Payton you're right talking like that about a fellow coach publicly is a classless act.
But I also find it kinda a little irritating how people rush to the defense of Nat Hackett. Let's be fair here the Coaching in Denver was bad. Just look at Russell Wilson now and Russell Wilson last year. And at this point in his career what is Nathaniel Hackett actually? Who does he compare to?
Anyone remember Adam Gase?
Chiefs at Vikings
I wonder if the Vikings could be in a position to draft Caleb Williams.
Cowboys at 49ers
I was wrong, I thought the 49ers would win but I thought it would be somewhat close it was not. To be fair The gap between Dak Prescott and Brock Purdy was clearly there it was not a narrow one. I think we've seen to many good throw from Purdy to say he's a "system quarterback"
there's one big question however that remains about Brock Prudy which is i would say a very fair one Purdy started in 13 games (including playoffs) he trailed in the 4th quarter for like 3 minutes. And this is the thing I wanna see from Brock Purdy 2 minutes left ball at the own 20 down 4 no time outs, Purdy made many good throws but how is when everybody in the stadium knows he's gonna have to throw it.
Packers at Raiders
This is not great...Jordan Love what concerns me about him the most are not the pick It's how Matt LaFleur is coaching and play calling with him he had like 15 pass attempts the first 3 quarters then the same amount in the last quarter this translates to I'd rather not throw the ball with Jordan Love. And now It's getting worse every week people are going to have more film on him figuring out what he can and can't do.
