Vielleicht sollten sie sich einfach mal mit dem Antiheld aus Rovaniemi zusammen setzen, als sich gegenseitig über Dritte zu bemoppern. Denn es ist nicht so, dass Harri keine Ahnung von Techniktraining hat.

Aber das is ja eh alles nur nen Ablenkungsmanöver. Ich fress nen Besen wenn die jetzt zig mal meeten und dann ist doch nicht anders. Ich seh das schon so kommen.;(

Sind die Finnen nicht als sturköpfig bekannt ? ...ich mein man könnte aus den letzten Jahrzenten immer wieder ne Storry erzählen die so warsch. nur bei ihnen vorkommt....ich kenn z.B keinen der mit ner Palette Dosenbier im Kopf versucht WEltrekord zu fliegen .....

Leider seh ich auch kein Licht am Ende des Tunnels bei den Finnen

Na dann wollen wir ja mal hoffen das er sein Leben nun endlich in den Griff bekommt.. vllt hilft ihm der Sport ja (Comeback? XD) Aber ich glaube leider nich das es der letzte Knast-Aufenthalt war.

He has already jumped great in some veteran competitions But anyway, just now it looks more promising to Matti N. than maybe ever. I would not make any bets that he wouldn't end up prison or other major troubles ever again, because, well he IS Nykäs-Masa, but last two years have been good for him. End of very disastrous relationship with on/off wife (both are doing much better since), new girlfriend, much less alcohol, no new scandals, getting fit again and doing healthy and sane things. With him you can never predict how long this new, good path lasts, but he has been doing very well over year and half now. :up:

(Yeah, I sincerely do hope it lasts long, he was my childhood hero.)

Not much new or surprising there. I didn't see the beginning, but what I saw: Finnjumping is broke (duh!) and they have to save money (duh! duh!) and they may not be able to have camps in summer outside of Finland (sucks.) Rane thinks it sucks too and doesn't help Finnish jumping (duh! duh! duh!) and they should just get more money somewhere (he didn't have any ideas from where.)

Sucks. But we will see. No confirmed decisions has been made yet and things may change.

It has been confirmed that Finnjumping will hire only one coach for summer. They will decide about who that will be during next two or three weeks.

Now even Porttila found out, that it isn't absolutely sure, that Niemelä will be chosen to continue. Though, he thinks it's because people have been criticizing Haataja and Tiilikainen, not because Finnish team has jumped like shit under Niemelä.

(By the way, Porttila is able to mention Rane's five 4 Hills victories even in this article. I find it rather amusing. : :up

Other than that, apparently Finnjumping made 80 000 euro loss for financial year for this season even after all saving they did. They have to take more loans. So no in two years they have made 310 000 euro loss. That is quite a lot considering their budget is 1,2 million euro. by the way, that is exactly the same my favourite Finnish Elite League hockey team had as their player payroll. And they are the smallest team in the League. Biggest teams have payrolls that are almost thrice of my favourite team, which is from the small town with very few good sponsors and has not been too successful and doesn't get much attention from media except local (so it's difficult to get national sponsors either.) And even my favourite team has total budget of 3,5 million euro.

How ski jumping is not able to collect more money is an enigma. But so many different people have now been trying and not making any better that maybe it is just that difficult. :hmpf:

Interessant finde ich ja die Punktzahlen. Verwenden die Finnen bei ihren Meisterschaften also auch die Wind- bzw. Gateregel? Denn anders können auf einer Normalschanze solche Werte ja nicht zustandekommen.
