I don't have detailed information on the wind conditions. The only thing I found is on the Tsuchiya site that there had been strong front wind in the first round that suddenly changed right before Nori.
Maybe it was not only the wind. He has been not training so much again this summer - the same as he did last year, but everything turned out right in the end.

I could try to ask to Väätäinen... As you know, he is the only "japanese" to speak english. But it is better to wait for the Okura comp.

Nori seems indeed to be not at the level of last year at this time. But let us not worry. He is so experienced and able to compensate the lack of training. He is always good for a surprise as long as knee and hip are okay.

Ein Freund von mir sagte dass Nori tatsächlich seit einiger Zeit wieder Knieprobleme hatte oder hat. Daher wahrscheinlich auch dieses wirklich wenige Springen....

Das für heute auf der Größschanze in Sapporo geplante Sommerfinale musste wegen starken Windes, mit Schnee vermischt (!), abgesagt werden.

Aber es gibt am kommenden WE ja noch die japanischen Meisterschaften.

Noris Ambitionen lassen - wie wir natürlich alle erwartet haben - nicht nach. Anlässlich der PK zum Saisonstart in Tokyo erklärte er, nach nunmehr 477 WC-Starts die 500 als Ziel zu haben, aber auch schon an die 600 denke.
Um sein Körpergewicht auf dem gewohnten Level zu halten, hat er in dieser Saison bereits vier Mal eine Fastenzeit eingelegt.

First, he has to be among the best 6 japanese jumpers... Taku and Daiki are in a much better shape at the moment as far as I know. But we need to wait for the next WE results to confirm...
I think he didn't jump a lot this summer and this explains his results but his target is Klingenthal, so he will improve, but I am still worry for him...

As for Shimizu, his current technique afraid me, we will have frights when he will jump in windy conditions and on flying hills with him, risky style, a true kamikaze.

As for the Kobayashi brothers, Junshiro has currently problems with his technique, Ryoyu seems improving with Väätäinen.

I have no idea about who will be chosen for Klingenthal... Ito, Takeuchi and Sakuyama for sure I think.

Thank you, I was waiting for the official notification on the SAJ website, so I didn't check the Klingenthal thread... But I don't trust a lot the Klingenthal meldeliste... Let's wait for the Ito Summer Final Cup...

Nach dem 1. DG hatte Nori geführt, aber er kam im 2. nur auf 79 Meter ("Ich habe den schlechtesten Wind abbekommen.") und insgesamt auf den 7.Platz.

Ich finde die Entscheidung, seine Frau/sein Privatleben aus den Medien fern zu halten hervorragend :up: wenn ich Profisportler wäre würde ich das genau so machen.

Es geht nicht um Klatsch und Tratsch der Art, wie in Europa z. B. Frauen und Freundinnen von Fußballprofis in Magazinen auftauchen. Das gibt es in Japan so nicht, weil Familienangehörige nicht als Promis oder Personen von öffentlichem Interesse betrachtet werden.
Was ich meinte, war, dass er z. B. nicht einmal von seiner Hochzeit ein Foto mit seiner Frau (auf dem sie erkennbar ist, ein verhülltes gab es) freigegeben hat, obwohl er selbst seine Hochzeitsstory in den Medien kräftig verbreitet hat. Auch in seinem Buch, in dem es um seine Familie geht, taucht sie auf keinem Foto auf.
(Das ganze war hier im Japan-Thread seinerzeit ja auch schon mal ein Thema.)
Ich habe z. B. auch noch kein Foto von Daikis Familie gesehen, seiner Frau und seinem Sohn. Aber er hat nie seine Heirat an die Medien herangetragen, so dass das bei ihm irgendwie besser zusammenpasst.
