Tyson trains for comeback against Aussie puncher
Freddie Roach is again working with Tyson
Former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson has started gym training for a planned July comeback fight, trading punches with an Australian heavyweight, according to a boxing internet site.
The 37-year-old American began working out Monday at Phoenix, Arizona, against Aussie sparring partner Justin Fortune for his comeback bout against Ireland's Kevin McBride on July 31, Fightnews.com reported.
Tyson, 50-4, was knocked out by Britain's Lennox Lewis in June of 2002. His only fight since then was a knockout of fellow American Clifford Etienne after only 49 seconds in February of 2003.
The former undisputed world champion and McBride, 31-4 with one drawn, will meet in a city to be determined, although Shelly Finkel, Tyson's manager, said St. Louis, Missouri, and Louisville, Kentucky, are possible locations.
Freddie Roach, who guided Tyson against Etienne, is again working with Tyson.
