So, jetzt gibt's ein paar Rumors von hoopshype.
Demnach kommt Sprewell scheinbar nicht, Divac' Zukunft ist weiterhin unsicher und die Lakers wollen jetzt Corie Blount signen:
"Although he likes Latrell Sprewell, Jackson all but ruled out acquiring the free-agent guard. Kupchak later said it was unlikely the Lakers would add a backcourt player." Los Angeles Daily News
"The Los Angeles Lakers would like to sign former Timberwolves swingman Latrell Sprewell, but in order to pay Sprewell a decent salary, they have been talking to the Wolves about a sign-and-trade deal in which the Wolves would sign Sprewell and then make a trade that would bring them a player. But indications are the Wolves can't get anybody they want, even if more teams are involved in the trade, so this won't happen." Minneapolis Star Tribune
"Center Vlade Divac remains an unknown in Laker plans, although a decision on his status could be extended beyond a Friday deadline, Divac's agent said Wednesday. Divac, 37, was recently quoted by a Serbian newspaper as saying he would retire, but agent Marc Fleisher said Divac had been fluctuating on the topic almost daily. The Lakers have until Friday to exercise a one-year, $5.4-million option on Divac or buy him out for $2 million, although Fleisher said the deadline could be extended another couple of weeks. The Lakers could also buy out Divac and then try to re-sign him for about $1.1 million, if he wants to play." Los Angeles Times
"My guess at this time is he's going to see how his health is and then make his decision," Fleisher said. "I know the Lakers would like to have another big man and have him in camp if he's physically capable of doing it." Laker training camp begins Tuesday in Honolulu. Divac played only 15 games last season because of a back injury. He averaged 2.3 points and 2.1 rebounds." Los Angeles Times
"The Lakers worked out veteran forward-center Corie Blount, who did not play last season. Blount, who spent almost four seasons with the Lakers until being waived toward the end of the 1998-99 season, has career averages of 3.6 points and 4.2 rebounds with seven teams over 11 seasons." Los Angeles Times
"Rookie guard Von Wafer could be headed to the NBA's developmental league, Jackson said." Los Angeles Daily News
"Jackson said Odom might have to miss practice time and early exhibition games while recovering from shoulder surgery." Los Angeles Daily News
