Jetzt wollen sie wohl wieder mit dem Langlauf zusammen unter ein Dach. In Zwei Wochen wird der Nachfolger von Tiilikainen gewählt und Matti Sundberg (Vorsitzender vom Langlauf) ist im Gespräch.

Ich hab das heut morgen auch schon ein paar mal gelesen, aber wirklich glauben möchte ich es noch nicht!

Auch wenn ich mich riesig freuen würde!

He has made a notification for FIS of his comeback. To which level his goals are, is a different matter. His trainer (Kykkänen again) doesn't comment the comeback at all. Just that Hapa has 'activated to exercise again.' If he plans to try to get back to international level or just wants a hobby and compete in national level is a different matter. And it will be seen, if he is motivated enough.

After the news during the winter, this was not a surprise. But we will see.

By the way. Yesterday also Ilta-Sanomat told that Jani Klinga is the most likely candidate as a head coach, but he denied it himself later. Finnjumping really doesn't want to use Niemelä's optio, but we will see, if they can find anyone else who would take a job.

EDIT: Little bit more from Kykkänen: Harri is back, because he wants to jump. They don't have specific goals and will take it slow. To which level Hapa will make his comeback or if he will compete at all will be seen. A year away has done a lot of good for Hapa and he has matured. The most important goal is, that Hapa would enjoy jumping and being an athlete again.

Bisher glaube ich aber nicht, dass sein Ziel momentan ist wieder ins A-Team zu kommen. Nicht solang Niemelä da ist. :cool:

Pekka fragte Toni ob er mit Harri reden könnte das er wieder anfängt? Wie realistisch soll das denn sein? :ueberleg:

No joo...Der Weg zurück ins A-Team soll ja wohl offen sein. Und DAS nachdem ihn angeblich niemand mehr haben wollte?!

Die Trainerfrage entscheidet sich am Samstag nach dem Meeting in Seinajoki.

Na wenn dan nicht schon Entscheidungen gefallen sind. Alles hat schliesslich seinen Sinn und Unsinn. Wenn der seit dem Winter schon wieder trainiert (erklärt auch warum er wieder so tierisch abgespeckt hat), warum kommen die JETZT vor der grossen Frühjahrskonferenz damit raus?

This is your typical MTV3. I will bet Pekka and Toni were just joking around about the matter. I do believe Toni have tried to contact Hapa about his life choices and Toni has been very clear (and very frustrated) about his opinions about Hapa's decision from start on. And considering his background and the road he had to travell, it's easy to understand.

Nieminen also gives rather strong opinions now. He thinks Kykkänen is a wrong trainer for Hapa and Hapa should find someone else 'who he could trust.' I don't see Hapa doing that. He and Kykkänen seem to have very special relationship that goes much farther than normal trainer-athlete-relationships do.

MTV3 also seems to think that Pekka Niemelä continuing as a head coach is a sure thing and that Finnjumping is not even considering any other options. I find that rather surprising because all the other (usually more reliable) sources say otherwise and seem to think, that Finnjumping will choose continuing with Niemelä only if they are not able to find any other good enough candidate. Niemelä's relationships with Finnjumping's people are not good at all and of course also the results were not good. But as said, at least Klinga says he is not available so maybe they are not finding anyone else.

It seems they really didn't plan this to come out yet. But they had to notify FIS to make it possible for him to be back and then someone saw Hapa training with Keituri and Jere and Julia Kykkänen and tipped off the reporter. Skiing at winter they could explain as just wanting to be fit (but especially Urheilulehti would still hint a lot about the matter) but summer training with typical leap etc. exercises could not be explained away anymore. When the reporter called, Kykkänen didn't want to say anything about the matter (and this is one of his trusted reporters) and only gave comments he gave after it was already on the front page anyway. The confirmation to the matter was from FIS site so there was no denying it.

I would not like to think Kykkänen would use Hapa this much to his own powerplays. Hapa's interview few weeks ago was clearly ment to be part of the powerplay going on in Finnish jumping, but I hope this is not part of it. If it is, then I can understand what Nieminen is after with his comments about changeing trainers. But Kykkänen seems to also genuinely care about Hapa, so... :hmpf:

Bei Twitter habe ich es eben auch gelesen. Wenn es ihm wieder Spass macht soll er es doch wieder versuchen ich fände es super. Er ist eine Bereicherung für den Sport da er nicht so angepaßt ist wie die meisten der Springer. Ich hoffe nur, das die Presse ihn dann nicht schon wieder in der Luft zerreißt wenn er sich etwas Freiheit nimmt. Ob er das mit dem Trainer wirklich so gesagt hat ist doch garnicht sicher. Papier ist geduldig und Journalisten oft nicht ganz ehrlich. Das weiß man doch.

Zumindest was das angeht, würde ich behaupten, ist er stärker als früher.

Das würde ich ihm wünschen. Man braucht ein dickes Fell an dem das Meiste abprallen kann. Ich wünsche ihm auf jeden Fall alles Glück der Welt wenn er wieder springen sollte.
