DUHON STILL ON THE BLOCK
The Bulls have held on to point guard Chris Duhon this summer, despite fielding some serious trade offers. The team would like to free up more playing time for shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha, and the drafting of guard JamesOn Curry -- the coaches say he can play the point -- in the second round seemed to indicate the Bulls were ready to trade Duhon, a fourth-year pro in the last year of his contract.
A handful of proposals were made, but GM John Paxson has developed a reputation as a tough and wary trading partner and the team will not give away Duhon. Paxson added power forward Joe Smith this summer but would like to bring in another big man, too. There is time to reconsider Duhon offers, but the team would have to get a quality big man in return.
